We have such a wonderful moonlight tonight; just wanted to share :)

moonlight

*sleep tight!* ;)

blue flower

…that was what I had in mind yesterday; when I went up to a friend to help her printing out some pages of the songs for her daughters confirmation party this Sunday. I had already helped her type it and made a front page with pictures and flowers (I really had fun doing this :)). Now the time was to print it.

I accepted the invitation to eat dinner with them with joy, I like spending time with them all. Later I had some other things to take care off, or so I thought! I forgot that printing on nice paper with a decent look takes time :D So I was there until late night!

moon

Good thing the sun shone longer than at my place (because of a little mountain blocking the sun here) - the food and company was of the good kind ;)

I even got some good pictures of one of my favorite blue spring flower; *BLÅVEIS* (if anyone knew the English name, please let me know!) :

blue flower

*Update: I learned the name, it’s: BLUE ANEMONE - sounds as beautiful as it is*

This week I have really been slow in the mornings. Can’t seem to get out off bed before I absolutely have to, and there is all this things and stuff that takes forever…..

In Norway we call this kind of behavior *VÅRSLAPP*, I’m not entirely shore how to translate it to English - but maybe “spring lazy” will do???? Update: it’s called: Spring Lassitude :D

*Anyone else got it?*

I love this season, where everything comes to life again!
This I took in my garden tonight:

daffodils

*Gotta love those Daffodils* ;)
Picasa2 gave it the soft focus it needed to keep my eyes from fixating on the cellar window
:D

*Update*: found some of the same flowers in Beate’s garden, it was kind of dark when I took the photo; but hope you got the idea!

Today I was on the south side most of the day. Off course I didn’t get out of bed early enough, so I was kind of in hurry to reach the ferry. So I forgot the camera. :( I’ve been agry with my self more than one time about that. It has been a beautiful day and in the midle of the day I had over two hours with nothing to do (going home was out of the question since it takes 1 hour each way). Instead I drove my car to the place where my boss has his summer-house (or what I shall call it?? It’s the little farm he grew up on. A few years ago he built (or rather, still building :)) a new house, so now there are one old and one new house there). I hoped he didn’t mind me leaving my car there and wandering around for a while. It was so good to move :) I didn’t go far though, but a little bit here and a little bit there. It is such a beautiful place, so I wish I had my camera! Grrr… Maybe I’ll take some shots of the place later, but it won’t be from this day, sadly!

I really enjoyed the time-out from work. I even got time to do some, long overdue, car cleaning (inside). So it was with a smile on my face I meet the youths for our last class before the Confirmation service.

Now I’ve been home a while. And I’m not smiling anymore. In fact I’m kind of sad. More trees has been sawed down in my garden, I’m not sure what to do. But am thinking of mailing a letter to the City hall asking why they never bother to ask me about what’s happening in the place I LIVE. Grrrr and :( about that. Later this evening I am going to take some more photos, to document what’s happening. Right now they are falling down one after one. I don’t want this to be between my neighbor and me, it is not his fault that the City hall has given permission to cut down these trees. All he want is free sight all around…. Hopefully he’s not getting that, because I don’t want everyone to see me whenever I’m out in the garden, or when I’m in the summertime take off more clothes than it is pretty to get some sun on my body ;) I do need some privacy to do that!

Well, enough of this, next time I’m out driving and walking I’ll bring the camera. That is a lesson learned the hard way. Because how can I show you the most beautiful dark blue flowers I found today? I want some of those for my garden - they was just my kind of flowers! :D

Val was asking about what my earliest childhood memory was; it was funny to write down - so I thought I would make a blog of it here at LIME too. This is my story:

I think my first memory (that I’m certain of is my memory and nothing anybody has told me) is from the summer of 1974. (jepp; I’m old ;)) I had just gotten a baby brother and we was on our way moving to a city two hour or so from the farm I spent most of my childhood in. All the things was taken out of our home and into a big truck. It was so exciting watching it all. I think I was allowed to play around and think I remember jumping from the back of the truck and down to the ground. I was a real fathers-girl and enjoyed being involved in the moving with him (guess I was in the way, though..) :)

Then the big blow: I wasn’t allowed to ride the big truck with dad. Instead I had to ride in mum’s car. With her and my baby brother. I remember being so angry and so sad. I really gave my mother a hard time! :P

So what is yours??

Today I got home to this:

I know that I only rent here (or rather my employer does and I pay him) - but I would have liked to be asked before they enter my ;) garden and sawed down every tree, almost. Even the funny, but totally will-grown, apple tree. They let some tiny one stand again, but it just looks funny - so those I think I will saw down on my own later.

I know my neighbor has wanted this for a long time. He wants to see wide and some of the trees in my garden was blocking his view. I understand him, I do; but I also want some privacy. I don’t like that the only place for me to be outside and by my self - now is open and easy to spot from several locations down by the pier and waiting area (for the ferry).

The main thing that get to me is that no one thought about giving me a call. Asking what I thought, since I’m the one living here. It’s the same thing every time - the owner of this house just acts like they don’t have anyone living here. Or they don’t care…. Tomorrow I’ll phone them (again) and ask why that is!

On the bright side - my garden gets lots of lights now ;)

*I’m so glad - the sun is shining today!* The last days has been pretty nice and warm, but this is the first day that the sun isn’t hiding behind some tiny clouds. :D

I’m at work now, so better do some work-related thingy ;) Just wanted to wish you happy Tuesday!! ;)

Today I haven’t done much:

  • slept
  • eaten
  • done some light gardening
  • read
  • done some blogging - made new Book-page
  • watched TV
  • enjoyed the sun :D
  • read a few posts by others

So now I’m so tired ;)

Woke up early to Benedicte singing “Morning has broken…” on my cell phone :D Followed with a hug from her daughter on my way down to the bathroom. *Nice way to wake up*; that’s for sure!!!

After breakfast and a cup of coffee, me and B hurried down to the church. We should hold service together in “her” church and because of “The Yearly Meeting” yesterday there also was two more pastors. One of which held the sermon, the other told how The Norwegian seamen’s church works for Norwegian abroad, said thanks for the gift of money and led us in prayer.

We girls had planned it all (mostly B, though :)), and really looked forward to do this together; we’ve never done that before, but wanting for quite some time. It is so fun and giving to “make” a service together and see how each of our parts melt together. The congregation seem to like it too and contributed to the whole. It was good to be there to worship and sing Gods praise; and so felt many, I was told, standing in the door wishing everyone a Good Sunday. Maybe this is something to repeat? ;)

After we went over to the building we was in the day before (which the congregation owns, by the way) And there was cakes from yesterday, coffee and talking over the table. Some singing and some words of thanks and encouragement followed, before we all went our different ways. A good end to it all.

There was no washing up to do (others took care of it), so happily we bolted out of there and went home to B and her family’s flat. It was a beautiful day, even though there were some clouds in the sky it was quite warm and good to be outside for a while. I enjoyed my stay with them and didn’t leave until late. It is good to be with friends! Thanks again for a wonderful (busy) weekend B :D

We ate dinner, relaxed and talked. After the girls were in their bed and sleeping we watched another Sandra-movie, to top the weekend off ;) Miss Congeniality . Not as good as the one we watched on Friday, but not bad either!

After a wonderful weekend together with Benedicte & co, I’m back home! Just got here in fact (and did not hit any harts on the way this time either, thank God.) Now I’m going to bed; will tell more about this day later on, after some sleep :D

Good night!

I didn’t get out of bed so early, but after it seems like there has been things to do nearly all day. At 11 am we went down to the building where the meeting should be held. Benedicte was in charge of opening the door for the food delivery. I think we both thought that this was it, that we should do some shopping on the way back up to her house and even have time to drink some coffee before we had to return to help set the table. But there was no time; instead we had to hurry back to the building and set the table for the dinner.

After we made a quick trip to get the groceries we forgot earlier and bought some ice to surprise her husband and children (they played/worked) in the garden of the house they usually live in. (Permanently, this year, they can’t live there because of major renovation of the house now they live in a tiny little flat; not to happy about the arrangement) Sadly we had no time to talk with them, instead we left for their flat to make cake for the meeting later on. It turned out not as good as usually when it got burned in the bottom - but I brought it down anyway (that was many hours later, by the way).

We had some minutes to chill out on the sofa, but not long after we got ready to return for the meeting. There it seemed like no one was in charge of warming the food and prepare for serving it - so it became our job. The meeting was ok, I had to pay attention because later I’ll write about it for the local board. But Benedicte almost fall asleep; not because she was bored though, just terrible tired.

The meeting lasted longer than we had expected, and we had so little time when we we went back for another changing of clothes and a little chat with her family. (And then there was the cake who needed topping…)

Needless to say: we were late for the big dinner when we returned. But we found some seat and smiled happy to each other. Now we just had to relax; no more duty tonight. We were wrong! Instead of an relaxing evening we got a busy evening. Going to and from the kitchen, serving dinner and coffee…

When we at 11 pm returned to her flat, we were both tired and a little frustrated of the lack of planning. But we also agreed on that it had been a fine happening too.

Now we try to recharge our batteries for the service tomorrow. So I probably should get some sleep right about now. Tomorrow is another busy day!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ;)

I’m writing this from my friends house, they have broadband and I just borrowed some of it’s space to put some new words on my blog ;) I’ve had the perfect ending to the day. Talk and fun with the twins, talk with friends and two hours spent on the film Two Weeks Notice. We all needed a good laugh  And this film sure gave it to us! I’m a big fan of Sandra Bullock and this is some of her better work (comedie-stuff), if you ask me!

Well, I better be a little more social - talk later ;)

*hugs*

I’m off to weekend with friends :D I look forward to spending some days with Benedicte and her family.

Tomorrow we’re gathering for the yearly meeting in this county’s branch of The Norwegian seamen’s church. Both me and B is in this local board. On Sunday we’ll celebrate service together in her church :D I think that will be great too!

*Happy weekend!*

ferry2

I live close to one of the largest fjords in the world. Just below my house the ferries comes and goes as they cross the fjord twice an hour (daytime). My friends laughs of me when I start talking about the ferries, but the thing is: when you live like this; with them as close neighbors - they becomes kind of an important part of everyday life :)

The last weeks one of the ferries has been on service and I have missed him. I was so happy when I saw him return today :D So I had to take some pictures, didn’t I. A sort of welcome home ;)

In addition it has been a super beautiful day!
