*) each day write down something you can give thanks for, a year from now you will have 365 great signs of Gods grace in you life!

This things made me thankful and happy today:

  • that I live in a free and beautiful country
  • that I have friends that care
  • the sun shone inbetween the rainshowers
  • compiments recived today

The photos aren’t in order… but it looked better this way ;) The rain maid us wet, but there was also sunshine! This time I didn’t walk in the parade (or “train” as we call it :D) - but the years to come I will (with my child).

- see more blue at A Farmer’s Child’s Tales….!

May 17th is our national holiday. Today we dress up :D

We celebrate our nation, people and constitution and wave our flags to show how found we are of our country. In June we also shall celebrate 100 years as independent, so this year we have more than the constitution to give thanks for.

Mostly this is a day for the children. But also for the grown up, who have more understanding for the whole constitution thing in the first place; not preoccupied with asking mom and dad for yet another ice cream or hot dog :D

I’ll try to capture some picture of the day and show you later :)

walking east towards the pier              or walking west toward the church

Wow! The new “road for walking” :) is finished, and it looks really good!! Nice that it is just below my house and goes from the pier to the church.

It’s not that far, but it’s short enough that I probably will use it (!) And I love walking down by the fjord!
