The sun is still here!
I’m sorry for the light blogging, but I can’t miss the sun when it’s finally here, now can I??!
There soon will be some rain, so then I will get back to you all
Yesterday I spent most of my day at home, doing a lot of different small thing and sitting in the sun as long as I dared
I even got to mow some of the lawn!
Now I’m sitting at the office and am finished with the mist important things I have to do, so I’m out of here; the rest I can do on a rainy day! Later I’m off to speak to a couple whom I’m going to marry some weeks from now. We are going to meet in the church in my neighboring municipal at 6 pm. I have some drive before that, but have decided to think about it as a journey in summer-land
See you later!
I’m all smiles!! The sun has returned; hopefully the rain has gone to the needy ones other places where it’s dry, I tried to blow as hard as I could yesterday
It’s wonderful, hope it will stay a while; even though it probably won’t…….
I’ll enjoy this day!
Sorry for the absence the last couple of days, but I’ve been nauseous; got the bug from a friend I think (I’m not angry Torunn
) – or it might get from some chicken I ate on Saturday… I’m not sure.
On Sunday I barely could drag myself through my two services of that day, and on the last one I had to run out of the church in the middle of it to throw up. Boy was I glad I had remembered to turn of the microphone……. that would just have been too much! Blah! I hate being sick, even though it’s only for a short time.
Yesterday I just tried to move slowly and get the food to stuck inside. It worked, but I’m still not quite up and going yet. Even though I’ve spent most of today at the office, I’m not sure if I actually did do anything
I’ll be back

From the south side, taken June 15th
Woke up this morning and expected sun, or at least light clouds – but it’s still raining! Not much, but just enough to make it impossible to mow the lawn. And it’s too cold for late June.
I WANT SUMMER!!
Please!
Well, I don’t get to travel so much anymore, not that I ever really did before. Tomorrow, well, today, we are going on a little boat trip with my extended family, my mom’s side. It’s not far away but far enough away that I have to get up early and here I am fooling around. Oh well, we didn’t even get home tonight until about midnight. I hope I can get up in about 4 or 5 hours to go!!!
Have a good Saturday and Sunday, Anne
Let’s just say that the travel bug hit me rather late. It was only a few years back, in my early twenties that I got hooked on to travelling, and wanted to see more of the world. Still, I managed to do my fair share of travelling when i was very little. According to my parents, when I was only 1 year old, they claimed to have brought me to china, philippines and other parts of South East asia while my dad was working on board the ship. Of course, I was too young to know it, although they have pictures to prove it.
Fast forward to the present. I’ve done a bit of trekking in Malaysia. Not all of the treks yet – there are simply too many traks to do. That and my lack of time and interested parties. I’ve only done one trek in Nepal, and hope to be able to do more treks in Nepal within the next few years. On the list, is Cambodia end of this year, and hopefully Tibet next year.
I guess the travel bug is rather selective. If you get it, good for you. Enjoy your travels. If you don’t, it’s ok. There are lots of other bugs for you to catch.
hey everyone. tracy here. writin’ a little somethin-somethin’
so speaking of travel…. i like to travel. throughout my life i have always traveled to different states here in the US. my love of travel grew and expanded to different countries as i got older. now i’m contemplating visiting or even moving to danmark for at least a year or two. we’ll see.
so the story that i have to share takes place during the first time i traveled to danmark. actually, it was within the first week of being there. (we were there for 4 months) see.. first off, i must explain that my “overseas” travels earlier on in my life had all been to other english speaking countries. so the fear of getting around a country that spoke a different language was great, especially that first week. so we had just gotten our sound equipment and had a day “crash course” of what we would be doing the following 4 months…. and while we were packing up to head to where we were living for the weekend… i decided i would try to do something nice for all my teammates, and get all our american money changed into kroner. so i asked our contact where the bank was, gathered money and instructions from all my teammates… and headed on my way. let me explain, that it was snowing REAL hard outside, and i was in dress clothes… wearing nice shoes with NO traction on them. so i’m walking down the street… no.. SLIDING down the street… and i almost fell at least a dozen times. well when i finally reach the bank… i realized that i didn’t know how to ask the teller to exchange the money…. i had spent the whole walk trying to remember who gave me how much money. and in our “danish lessons” we had before leaving.. we learned some simple things… like how to say ‘thank you’, ‘good morning’ and ‘you smell like fish’. so as you can tell.. none of this language preparation was helpful for me at this point. so i got up to the counter.. and was the “dumb american” that i feared that i would be. she said something to me in danish…. i looked blankly at her… held up all the american dollars and said “kroner?”
i’m thankful that the people are danmark are so polite. she just exchanged the money for me.. and i said ‘tak’.. and left. it provided a good laugh for me later on.
so yea.. there’s my story. thanks for letting me post!
It’s over us again
I totally forgot, so I’m late, sorry!!

I was up so early today, that I hardly believe it myself ![]()
Was at the office at 6:30 am preparing for funeral and then on my way to the city for the “exam” for my car; EU-test which we’re supposed to take each other year – the mission of it is to keep the unsafe cars off the road – so it’s a good thing actually. Except that my car failed to pass today, so now it has to visit the car repair shop as soon as possible! That’s going to cost money
Anyhow the man that should do the test was late, so he started 20 minutes later than when he should. In other words, I got 20 minutes less to catch my ferry at 10 am and collect the stuff that I needed for the funeral (from my office and home) – I hate to have such pressure of time on me while driving. Get all stressed up; thankfully there was almost no traffic so I manage to get what I needed and get on board the ferry in time. (Then I also got some time to eat…)
The funeral was (off course..) in the red church, the one farthest away. So when I was back home at 2:30 pm I had driven 250 kilometers all together. Phu! (My dream of being a truck driver is not so big at the moment…)
The rest of the day was spent here at home. I’ve made myself a proper dinner and watched some tv. I’ve read the newspaper, exercised a little and relaxed. It has been a rainy day and quite cold – so I actually lit a fire to keep warm.
Today is the evening before St. Johns day, when I was young we met with our neighbors and friends and lit big bonfire down by the river somewhere. A kind of midsummer party (Sweden is famous for them). At that time I didn’t think so much about St. John, though. Just had fun with the other children running around the bonfire. And later trying to cover up every bit of skin to keep the mosquito from biting…… I even was out picking flowers of seven different kind, putting them under my pillow and wanting to dream about the man that I should marry…. So far it hasn’t worked!
First as a pastor I got to get the feeling of this as a church day (evening). But here it’s not tradition (and so many other traditions that it’s hard to compete..) We don’t have saints as the Catholic church, but that don’t mean that they are less good example for the Christian life. John the Baptist was a chosen man, by God, to shout out to the world: Give way for the Lord! Sometimes I think we could need someone shouting that out from time to time in our days as well: Give way for the Lord!!
Here is my bonfire for the evening:

Update, Friday:
The challange for Photo Friday was Orange; so I sent my fire
Apparently the sun was no big hit, and the weather is not at all as warm as a summer should be (even though, I’m wearing my shorts out of spite!) Now it’s on with the rain again
But we did get a little over 4 hours with sun, so it’s something……… (blah!)
I’ve washed my car (yes, good girl!) on the inside, didn’t got to vacuum though because of the weather. But it looks so much better now! It’ll pass the exam tomorrow with pride
I also removed some rather ugly-looking and sour-smelling apples from the garage too – that was not a pretty job!! Glad it’s done, hopefully no one will notice the smell…..
I try to cover it with dirt, and hid it in a place no one naturally will walk – next year it will be dirt!! You go, mother earth!
I’ve seen the sun!
Finally there is some sun shining down upon us! I’m so glad, and as soon as my coffee is finished I’m out there enjoying! My first day in shorts this year
Oh, crap, my tv-night got cancelled due to only sports broadcasting on the designated channel. I’m so disappointed and a little bit fed up with all this sports in my tv, I didn’t pay for that!! Or, well, I guess I kind of did since it’s in the package; but I didn’t want to do it!
Blæh!!! (blah…)
Can anyone *please help* me!!!
I keep getting this error message:
There is a problem with *Spooler SubSystem App*
and the program has been shut down.
Anyone know what to do????????
I miss my printer!
*UPDATE*:
Like a mystery my printer just started to work again – go figure! I just had read a loooong article on how to fix it and I was on the verge to actually try it, when I thought: why not check if it’s working now!! And, it did! Hah, if everything could fix itself like that
Yea! Got out of bed in time this morning
And then I went to the main center of this municipality. This week I have two funerals, so today I talked with both families. After that I spent some hours with the substitute pastor in that area of the municipality (I’m pastor in another area of the same municipality). She’s new and had some questions for me on the matter of confirmation class and so on. We had quite some talk and a great time – but now my brain is so full of words
Good thing Tuesday is my tv-night
My favorite kind of relaxing!
And by the way, yesteray the weather was terrible; rain all day! There has been no sunshine today but only a little bit of rain….. Yesterday was dark grey, this one is light grey
