Yesterday I cut the office day short. Went home and enjoyed the sun instead This weekend (and the following 7-14 days) I’m on alert for this whole district. It means I have to go in case of an emergency somewhere. It’s the first time I’m paid for this and I’m curious to see what will happen, off course I hope there will be nothing too serious!! This mean I have to carry my cell phone with me at all times, and sleep knowing that I might get called out in the middle of the night. Earlier all pastors had this for the local area, now we have teamed up together and one of us is on alert in evening and night + weekend for all. This means that come some week I will not have to go out at night or remember to take the cell phone with me everywhere - that’s something to look forward too

Well, I got to bed late, really late, yesterday - and it was not because of any emergency After I had mowed the lawn I asked Torunn (neighbor and friend) to take a walk with me as I had to go to the church and lock it for the night. She and her daughter accompanied me and we had a nice walk along the fjord. When we got back I was asked to come back home with them, and I said: Yes, thanks, why not! But just for a short time!

I sat there for several hours and wasn’t back home before 1 am. Sorry Torunn for keeping you up so late!! But it was nice sitting out on the verandah, talking and laughing together

I should have gone to bed when I got home, but sat up till 3:30 am watching television. A movie called “Maybe Babe..” Not very good - but it had some moments! I laughed out loud at least once.

So instead of an early bed that I should have taken, I went to bed while the bird started to sing(!) So it took me some time to tune them out. Needless to say, there was not much happening here before 11 am. A little past twelve I went and opened the church again and since then I’ve been sitting in the sun reading and working on my tan

Now I’m soon heading down to the pier and the annual summer marked day. There has already been brass band playing and line dancing. Lots of music and stuff, so I might as well join them down there. Maybe there is something for me to buy??!!
