It was such a beautiful and warm day, perfect for playing outside on a big pillow with lots of pillows in it…. or outside it ;)

Last week I had a wonderful day together with my friend Benedicte and her twins. Usually I’m the one travelling up to visit them in their home (it’s easiest since I don’t have children just yet…), but each summer they takes a trip down to me. I love it!!! It is so nice to see how the girls grow, now they are almost 3 years old. So much has happened since last year, then I remembered standing “watch” by the door and stairway, afraid they should hurt themselfes. This time they took care of them selfes. They also had a few project on their own, when I and their mother got a little bit to preocupied with talking :D

First when they got here, we walked over to the church. I open it up each day at around twelve and it was nice to have compay. Benedicte had never been in this church, so being a pastor herself, we had of course much to speak about in there. The girls found some shets of paper and some colors and then they made some work of art for us – or we thought so…… But the girls had discovered a hole in the floor (there once was a heater there….) and it was off course much more fun to see how the colors dissapered down the hole than to use them for drawing…….. ;)

Later that night, when I should water my plants, I found bits and bites in my watering can flouting up with the water. I think they have a soft spot for dropping things into cans or holes

Look, sister made my letter!!!

The girls had much fun playing with the magnets on my fridge

I love you girls, come back soon!!! … and bring your mom too ;)

Sorry about yesterday; but I got lost in Harry Potter’s new adventures ;) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Read the book all through, though, so now I’m waiting for the next one….. Think I might read up on the first five books, to have something to do in the meantime – there might be some years (!) before the seventh book is finished and published.

And, yes, I did get the book in the mail on Saturday – the same day everybody else got their hand on it! Since there are no bookstores close by, I was really happy about that!

Today I only have one service and it’s not until 3:30 pm. Such hours suits me just fine ;) I do have to travel a little bit before I get there, though, so I’m soon leaving. I’m going out to the islands that lays in the middle, where the fjord and the sea meets. It’s beautiful out there and I’ll bring my camera for sure!

I guess there will be few people in church, though. Few people live there and even fewer goes to church, but I might be wrong, it is summer and a lot of tourists in the area. They may want to go to service………….

Wish you all a happy Sunday and Gods blessing!
Love :)

I’m off! Having a wedding to conduct in my neighboring municipal. Have some preparing to do, and the drive is about one hour each way + a ferry ride of 20 minutes….. Hope the weather will clear up. It’s so grey and boring right now!

Hope you all enjoy the weekend!
I’m at my last days on call (have been since July 1th, but thankfully it has been quite so far) and can’t wait for a couple of days off Monday and Tuesday. Maybe then I finally can get the new theme up and running??! Depends on the weather and when the new Harry Potter book will arrive ;)

….chose to add two of Norway’s most beautiful fjords on their list yesterday! Norway have a few listings from before, but this is the first area of nature added. A lot of tourists are at these places each year, now there is hope for an increase and maybe that people will stay a bit longer and not be in a hurry to see the next site. Look here to read a bit more about the fjords and why UNESCO chose to put them on their list.

The photos was taken some years ago (1998) and are not especially good…. But this is a tiny bit of Nærøyfjorden and it’s surrounding mountain!

I’ve used the day to try and sort out all the piles of paper that I’ve collected the last year (and more!). I’m still not finished, but has gotten much done. I think I should have done this more frequently, though……

Yesterday morning I was on the south side of the fjord (as I might have mentioned, come to think of it…) The driving now a days really makes me uncomfortable. I don’t know if you remember, but some weeks ago I had my car checked and it failed because of some thingy in the area of the right front wheel (not the wheel itself, though). I can’t get it fixed before August 1th, because of vacation for the workers in the garage (grrrrrrr!) – and they calm me down with – “hey, it might broke tomorrow, or it might not – no one knows when it’ll happen!”

Blæh!! It’s not ok driving a car several kilometers over a road filled with potholes, with that in mind…. And I don’t have the money to drive a rental the next two weeks either!!!
This doesn’t help my stress level a bit! The rain keeps pooring down too :(

I got me a real blog-scare today!

When I got to the office, after spending the morning at the south side, I checked my Lime to see if anyone had left me any comment – and the blogposts was all gone!!!! There where words of error all over the place! My first thought was – oh no I’ve lost it all – then I thought, there might be another thing causing this……

Thankfully it was – and now it’s all up and going again. My /tmp directory was full my host could tell me tonight – so I might remember to delete from time to time ;)

Anyway: puh!! I would have missed my posts and this blog so much!!

Very soon my favorite twins and their mother will be on my doorstep! I love getting visitors :D Thankfully the sun is here again, so we can be outside (instead of inside, where it’s not as clean as I want ;) )

Yesterday was a real busy day with two services, and there was rain all day long! This morning I’ve done some work for the church “paper” (local), but hope I done all now (lost a little bit track of it…..) The secretary at the office will tell me I believe if there was more to do – she’s the one who put it all together!

Hope everyone has a good day! I’m sorry for light blogging and light reading, I will come back as soon as possible – you know I love to read and see what happens in your life :D But the sun is shining and it might not tomorrow ;)

*So tell me how are you doing!!*

I got so lazy today, just sitting out in the sun – or in the shadow to cool off ;) Reading the paper, wondering how I can solve the Sudoku puzzle in this warm weather – and enjoying a cup of coffee. Life is good. And a summer in Norway is just warm enough to endure, with a soft wind to chill me down from time to time. The smell of the salty fjord is in the air. Ahhhh………

I’m out of here again, sorry, shall read up on blogs and write more when the rain hits :D

Love!

It’s been another beautiful sunny summer day, now I’m back home from work and the rest of the day I’m planning to stay outside, both for resting and for mowing the lawn ;)

For the last month I’ve planned a new look for this blog, not self-made just yet, but one of the numerous good wp-themes available. I’ll do a little bit of tweaking on it though! But I need a day to sort out all of it, and I can’t do that while the sun is out or maybe at all this summer. Next week we’re even fewer pastors around, due to vacation, so I’ll guess I might get busy!

In a article I read in my newspaper today, about the terrorism in London, the journalist talked about how terrorism is an act with the intention to scare us big time. I’m so impressed of the people in London, doing their business like (or almost like) any other day – today. Off course we get scared when bombs are detonated, I know I would be – but don’t let it scare us from living our life, ’cause then they have won!!! We can’t let that happen. The people in London, and the world at large is in my prayers today. Please join me!

I’m sad -
Because the world that I love so much, and the people that inhabit it, has suffered a new loss to terrorism. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this!

I’m sad -
Because someone thinks that a life is not as important as it is to make a point. It is true that we act like some lifes is more important than others, maybe also in choices I make or my nation make. But not like this planned and timed attack to get as many casualties as possible.

I’m sad -
Because of this terrorism in London the G8 meeting might not be able to make any decision concerning the poor countries of this world. The focus has shifted. London over Africa. Terrorism over poverty.

God bless our world, give strenght to those affected and make our leaders wise!

I remember standing in front of the teacher in the class room when enrolling for school. I had memorized my birth date and knew it by heart, but was still so worried for getting it wrong… I so wanted to make an impression from the start :D

I got it right!

I’m sitting at home, thinking about work….. ;) But I can’t seem to drag myself out of the door, so I’ve decided to stay here a few moments more. Mostly due to a phone call I got just minutes ago:

The call was from a mother, I should have visited them in an hour and talked with them about the baptism of their child coming Sunday. But she had to cancel because her son has kept her up all night and cries every waken moment! I feel so sorry for her, she sounded so tired. Hope that she’ll get to sleep tonight! I’ll contact her on Friday and ask how things are going.

My folks drove off this morning, they are so busy… :) It was nice with a visit, though. It’s been too long since my dad was her last. Now he has found several things to fix for me, so he promised to come back soon! I don’t mind, I’m stuck here all summer and it’s nice with people in the house.

It’s raining outside, but I do not complain, we have had some beautiful days with lots of sun. So I’m all filled up, and tomorrow there shall be sun again :D

Hugs
