I was sure that I had been given the only African boy that didn’t enjoy water and baths.
Every time I’ve put him in the “tub” (plastic kind before we got home…) he has said no.no.no!
So I was dreading the bath this morning, since he already got angry at me for not getting out of bed when he ordered it
But instead of anger, my boy was a happy boy when I turned on the water and pushed all his things in it. When I asked him if he could take off his pyjamas he got right on with it, and when I said in with you - he smiled and nodded his head. Go figure - my son is a real bath boy now ![]()

So cute! He will learn to really love that water! So maybe I asked this to you before, what do you speak to him in, Norweigen or English, or both?
I speak to him in Norwegian, he doesn’t know English at all…. I know some word in his “old” language Amharic, I use them and show with arms and whatever I can find ;)He’s learning quickly and has already started using his first Norwegian words. So next month I guess he will use many of them, and next summer he’ll speak without accent and (sadly) have forgotten all of the Amharic language. I’ll teach him a few words, but I don’t know so much…
