As usual my boy woke up around midnight, this time with a cry. Not the loud cry he has when he’s angry or upset, but a low cry so easy to miss. When I got up to him I saw that he wasn’t quite awake. After a little while he stopped crying, but it was hard to get him back to sleep. Seems like he didn’t want to sleep any more if he could help it.

I so wonder what he dreamt, was it scary or sad. Is he afraid of something or is there someone he terribly miss?! I don’t know and he doesn’t have the words to tell me. So I wonder… I long for the day when he has enough words to tell me what the dream was about!

And now, he’s sitting here by my side. He didn’t sleep for more than 10 minutes before he was up again. This time with his normal quick step over the floor. Running from his bed to mine, wondering where I am. For a minute there I tried just to put him in my bed, but I know, he won’t sleep until I’m right there by his side sleeping too. So this is me signing off and going to bed! (It’s about time too, a new day has just started…)
