Lately we’re had one good sunny day following the other. It is so beautiful inviting and warm. As long as you stay on the inside! Once out you wish you could just run back inside, into a warm room (warmed by the sun, by the way). The wind is so cold. And it has been like this for days.
And now I’m really cold and sick of it all!
My son loves to be outside. It’s such a good thing. Kind off…. Beacuse these days it means standing outside, lurking around, being cold cold cold. Waiting a good while before asking: “Isn’t it time to go back inside now?!” “We have books inside, I can read for you. Or maybe you want to use your tractor and drive around a while?”
The answer is almost always: “No!” Just that, NO!
Sometimes I say that doesn’t matter, now we go inside. Sometimes I carry him in. He’s not happy about that. It’s no fun for me either by the way…. (he screams loudly for a long time and slaps me if I’m close enough). But most of the time I say: ” Oki, we’ll wait a little while longer. Mummy’s freezing, but it’s good you love being outside….” So I’m cold, cold, cold, most of the time these days.
Now I want a truly warm day, not just a sunny one!!
