This week I’ve been driving crizz-cross Norway; from Sogn to Telemark and back. This is some of the things that happened. Some funny, some sad, some good and some plain stupid.

1. As usual we left our house over an hour later than I planned
2. This was a good thing, because then I got with me the mail and an important letter,
3. ..but also bad, because we missed the ferry with only 5 minutes.
4. Off course we also got stopped by the police, in a routine control. I still can’t get over the fact that my heart beat a little bit faster, even though I knew the police that stopped us and I knew nothing was wrong with the car and I had all the required papers with me. Stupid thing!
5. After driving for a very long time. We finally stopped to buy some hot-dogs. I had to buy 4 not 2 as planned, because the first two fell to the floor. First MT lost one (not too big a surprise) but then I managed to loose the grip on mine too. I was so embarrassed when I had to turn around and buy two new ones!!
6. Then we was (at least technically) the first car at an accident. Sadly one car driving in the other direction hit an elg (moose or elk), I didn’t see it in time and almost hit the elg too while driving past it. Then I stopped the car and after a little while got out of it, but when I was moving in the direction of the other car the elg stated to lift his head. I stopped and was so glad that the driver in the car right behind me was helping them out. MT was awake, and I didn’t want him out of the car (I prefer his first elg to be a living one on all four legs…) - so I talked to him, calming both him and me, until I saw the blue lights of the police. Then I moved on in the direction of my parents house….. As far as I know no persons was hurt, - but the young elg got a short life.
7. This was the only elg we (or rather I) saw on our 100 kilometer journey. But I did see wild goats and that was fun
8. On the way back home we left almost 2 hours later than planned. Okei, so this is a theme…
9. I had a big headache and MT didn’t have the best of days either.
10. A bit south of Hokksund one girl drove past us even though there was big yellow (in Norway we use this color in the middle of the road..) markings in the road telling that this was not allowed, not allowed at all. There was also a intersection and the speed limit was set high. I honked the horn at her. I hate that kind of driving. (This was the plain stupid thing that happened, by the way!)
11. Almost at the same place as the accident with the car on the way east, only a few kilometers farther north, we came across a new accident. This time we was not the first, not even the twentieth car there. Sadly an old man died in the accident.
12. I was stupid enough to make MT try a bike (he’s getting one for his birthday, I had to make sure he was able to use it…), I almost had to leave the shop childless because his birthday is almost a month ahead and I didn’t have the money to buy it. Nor did I intend to buy the bike there. But still, he was so angry with me.
13. We had two ferries to catch, and we catch them both - so we got home earlier than I even imagined

….and we was so tired, both of us, that we had to take it slowly the rest of the day and the next!! And that is the main reason for this TT to “come out” so late, sorry for that!
