- This January I enjoyed our Christmas tree a bit longer than what I usually do; but then this years tree is the best and most beautiful one I’ve ever had. I bought it from a local farmer and father to one of MT’s friends. I guess I’ll do that next year as well!
- Last weekend I had no less than three services, each one of them with a little different approach than the normal “mass”. I was so tired Sunday night and on Monday. I think I maybe took on a bit much that weekend (the first service someone else could have taken, but I’ve done for the last three years or so; so I wanted too….
- Saturday I usually has off, but this weekend me and my boy used our day with others from churches in our greater area. The theme was Singing our Church (or something like that) and it was both inspirational and fun. MT got to play with a few other kids and had fun too.
- That evening (Saturday; I first knew on Tuesday, though), one of my friends, living a bit from here, suddenly lost her husband to a deadly stroke. He only became 48 years old, leaving behind a wife and a son. I’m so sorry for them and will miss him when I visit them. A few years ago I was pastor in their “town” and spent a lot of Saturdays with them. It’s such good memories! MT met them last August and I could tell he felt at home there too.
- I was planning to use tomorrow and Saturday to finish (over two days) MT’s “test” so the doctors can figure out if they have to do something with his little “blood in the urine”-problem or not.
- Instead we’re going to my friends funeral. I would rather collect urine……..
- Not that I don’t want to be there for the family, my friends and follow her husband as far as human possible (to the grave). I’m going to cry! That’s okei, though.
- This season the first snow fell on January 11th. About time!!! MT had so much fun in the kindergarten and had to change for dry clothes three times!
- Today I have been away from him for hours. I told a family I would come and speak with them between 12 and 13 pm; I got there at 13:35 pm and was so embarrassed. In my head being there between 12 and 13 had become me taking the ferry at 12:30 pm… not easy to get there in time then….
- I was off course late for my next appointment as well……..
- A few nights ago MT woke up crying. For a while I thought he had had a scary dream or something. Then he told me his tummy was hurting, oh so painfully. I wondered if there might be something serious, since he normally can tolerate quite a lot of pain (if it doesn’t involve trying to comb his hair….). But it turned out to be hunger(!) He had eaten some yoghurt’s before bed, but still he had a need for bread; a few minutes after I put him to bed again he was fast asleep!
- This Sunday we’re going to celebrate my friend B (with the twins) little daughter’s baptism. I so look forward to it!!
- Soon I’m going to move my living room furniture, or only a few of them this time, around a bit; I can hardly wait! I love making a bit of change from time to time. It’s inspiring and good for my view on things!
