Tuesdays are always a bit stressful in this house. And even though I got an pretty early start at work today, we still had to eat a speedy dinner. The last part of it got stuck (or so it felt like) in my throat for an hour after I finished…. And off course MT moved slower than ever, like he always seems to do while I’m in a hurry
Anyway we got to the room where Baluba (our church school for kids), the cause for me being in an hurry, and we had such a nice time. Not silent and not without disturbances, but still so good. I so love working with them!!
The artist of the painting (not the lion, that’s a lion from our wall mural) didn’t think she was any good. Boy was she wrong! Don’t you agree?! It’s so nice to see how they enjoy using colors and making it look beautifully. MT’s paining isn’t so within-the-lines, though
(and I sadly have no photos of it).
Todays topic was Bartimaeus; the one that after meeting Jesus went from being blind to becoming seeing. It’s a wonderful story, and as you can see the children were working on how much beauty he now got to see.
Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
