tree and blue sky

I’m sitting here, surfing the net and reading a few emails, while MT is having fun taking a loooong bath ;)

Trying to figure out what’s the theme for my sermon shall be for tomorrow. So far I’m not sure and I’m a bit worried about that because I want this sermon to be up there among those that are a little better than okei ;) I think I’m going to talk about how we have a living faith, because Christ is alive and not dead. But I also have to meet the confirmants where they are, thinking of the gifts the receive and the party that starts right after the service, the Confirmation is a big thing around here. That also means many people in church - and that’s a good thing! But again, I just want them to be reached with the sermon. Give them a little bit of Jesus while they are there… :D

And this is the sermon scripture:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.
1.Pet 1:3-9

I’d love some input or ideas for the sermon! Thanks :D
And, by the way - the sun is shining; it’s a wonderful day!!!
