The last weeks have been busy ones. And I see that a few things is missing in my other blog posts!! So here is a short list of happenings as of lately:
CELEBRATIONS
MT celebrated his birthday with godparents and friends Sunday 22nd of April. He is now a big boy, age 4
On Monday he asked me if he was 4 yr that day as well; it took a while getting used to this big new happening in his life
- at least he made his mummy smile!
The following Thursday we invited a few boys from his kindergarten to celebrate with him. This was his - and mine - first go at the ever so scary children party. I was so scared not to have enough food or cakes or things to do. But shouldn’t been worried. Those things are not too important. At least not for these boys. The ate almost nothing, they didn’t even finished their ice cream dessert. There was little interests in the cakes, even the one with 4 lights - shaped like a start….. As for things to do; they where busy all the time playing with each other or alone - no worries there. The only time I got some attention was when I hold up their little bags with candy - those they wanted!!
So next time the planning will be simple…. (remind me, please!) And sadly I was so in the middle of everything that I forgot to take photos…
As if this wasn’t enough celebrating. My friend Bea turned 40 the the following Saturday and we went partying!
Lot’s of cakes and coffee and a bunch of people.
Happy birthday, friend!!
CONFIRMATION TIME
On Sunday the first Confirmation was held in the church close to our home. Confirmation is, as I’ve mentioned before, a big thing around here. The church was filled with nice dressed men, women, children and youths - and a lot of happy faces. MT was with a friend and it was good to be able to focus on the task at hand.
This Sunday the second Confirmation was held in the white church on the south side. Again a lot of beautiful people, folk suits and smiles. Since I have a cold I was worried about my voice and in the middle of the service it broke. I had to stop in the middle of a sentence, trying to say “I’m sorry” while I retreated to my “chamber” coughing hard. Finally someone brought me some water, so the service could continue - but my throat is sore….. This time MT was with his friend E, and I spent some time with the family afterwards.
OTHER STUFF
It’s also been a few funerals and other work related things that have taken some time. We had an two-days seminary (or how to call it) in our local pastor group. MT spent his second night away from me - and a lot more hours. It went well, but he woke up the next night afraid I were gone….

I might have forgotten some, but this was at least a digest.
Thanks for reading!
Love,
