I’ve actually been online on and off for a while now, but MT had to try our new toy when he got back – and then off course I had to get him to bed before it got too late – and a few other things. But this evening I’m out here, surfing and configuring…..
I have taken a few photos too, so soon I’ll uploade them as well
Or you can just head over to my vox right now and see the two first photos of the computer
My new computer – Dell, off course – is delivered to a gas station close by. I’ve cleared (ehem, not cleaned…. my house is a mess as always
but right now I don’t care
) some room for it so now I’m out to fetch it
Good thing MT is with a friend at their farm having a fun time; cause then I can spend all day on my new toy too
Just remembered; I have some leftovers in the fridge – doesn’t have to use time preparing for dinner either…….
Hopefully the setup goes alright. And I’m new to Vista, but I guess it’ll be easy enough to get the important things in place before long. So, see you soon

Me and my son a sunny spring-day in 2006
A lucky shot of MT and his flags (they are Norwegian flags, even though the shadow doesn’t tell…) on Norway’s national day May 17th 2006.
This was MT’s very first celebration of the day and he was so happy and excited!
He’s wearing the national custom of Ethiopia. A nice combination of his roots and life.
As I mentioned the other day; I was searching for my glasses…..
Well, I found them.
Right behind me on the back of the sofa! Stupid thing said nothing while I was searching all over the place!!
A little while ago I sent MT with out neighbor and her son to fish crabs. I said I’ll be there shortly.
That was almost one hour ago.
I guess I have to leave now!!
Now we are fighting over time in front of the computer.
Luckily I’m the adult and in charge
I’m trying out
and it seems like it’s working nice. Too bad MT doesn’t understand English, though, but he’ll learn…… The program and preapproved sites are all in that language and even though I wish at least some where in his – I like the idea of him learning English as well as figuring out how the net are working. So far in safe mode!
I’m planning a barbecue party tomorrow and with less time on my hand than what I need I’m working under this theory:
As long as the food is good and the guest feels welcome, the surroundings might very well be a bit shabby!!
Don’t prove me wrong!!
..I’m off to finding a few more great recipes
Hm…. wonder where my reading glasses are. I just had them a few hours ago when I last sat here by the laptop. Have you seen them???
I only hope I’m not sitting on them…….
My dishwasher is broken
It’s been no good for weeks (months, even) – but I do hope it doesn’t completely die on me just yet. Not that I don’t want another dishwasher – I’ve already been online and figured out what kind to buy; but honestly I don’t have the money.
…since I’ve already used them on a new computer from Dell. Ehem….
So now I need a husband that not only are good at washing and fixing my car; I need someone with electrical skills as well!! Oh, my…
I think (I might be wrong, but not by much) MT got his very first “Great to see you!”- greeting in kindergarten today. It was sincere and warm, I do wish the other adults could have greeted him like that too. I never ever thought about that they didn’t before today! Now I know, now I want them to use such words when they meet the kids instead of “Hallo” or “Good Morning”.
Got me thinking about what we say….
I’m all good now, not sick a bit
Thanks for the kind words!!
It’s frustration, though, to use one of my few Sundays off to lay sick. And also frustrating because I should have been taking better care of my self (doing as my mum always tells me: Go to bed and sleep! It’s good for you.) – lately there have been far to many late nights and too few late mornings(!) Sadly I’m a slow learner…..
In other news; it’s raining outside. It hasn’t been raining like this for weeks, so it’s ok – but still gray and boring. MT is taking his bath upstairs, I’m soon heading up to wash his hair and find some clothing for him. Then we’re off to kindergarten and work. He’s shouting for me, so I’ll better go… Have a nice day!!
..or rather was – feeling better now!
I woke up with a thundering head ace and even before I left the bed I knew this would be a lay-down-day. Ever since I became parent and had to give up my sleep in mornings in bed I’ve had such days as today. I’m just so tired and out of sleep that my body turns on me. I should have seen it coming…..
There have been some late nights lately and even though I wanted to go to sleep early yesterday I couldn’t because there was dance and music down on the pier and too noisy to find the quiet zone. Sadly.
But I’m better now. Have slept for several hours, MT has been at our friends – we both should have been there. I’m glad he got to go, they have a big outdoors pool (of the plastic blow up sort) and he has looked forward to swimming in it for days. Last time we were there the weather was too cold for any bathing…
Since I’m now holding the food (I’ve just eaten my breakfast, or what to call it at 7 pm
) I’m going up there as well. But tonight will be an early night
