Seems like this is turning into a photo-blog, but I promise there will be a few more words once these two busy weeks comes to an end (you might be nice and give me a few days to regroup as well – but around late February I’ll be up and running again. Off course then it’s only two weeks till Easter; but that’s not as busy a time as it used to be….. The rewards of being a youth minister
)
Anyhow; I’m craving one of these.

Too bad they are long gone.
And luckily for my wallet it’s a 10 K’s drive to buy anything for my cravings…… I guess I have to settle for a few grated carrots! It’s not what I want, but they taste somewhat sweet…
Today I did not oversleep, I got up right in time for a shower, food and coffee – and some time to pay my bills and blog a bit!
Not bad for one of my mornings
The sunrise was colorful and I tired to capture some of it. Now we’re off to kindergarten and work. Have a great Monday everyone!
Once this was a new and life changing machine and a super tool at the farm. It’s still good looking in it’s own way, but not so much working
I’m looking for a new look of my blog and have had some fun searching for stripes at ColorLovers; as you can see. I see that I like a lot of different colors (although blue is always a given with me, my all time favorite color) – and they do not all match when put together, but the combinations and colors in each of them separately.
Maybe one of them will give the main colors of the blog design or/and be my new background?!
Well, we’ll see won’t we – back to my book
/edit: So I looked at this post in IE and realized that all the stripes stood in one line – a long line far beyond the sidebar. In Firefox it’s all inside the post box borders.. So now I’ve tried to break it down, hope it works; got to go! /edit
..now I only wished I didn’t have to pay for them
But I’m happy since my favorite came. I’ve been reading about dr. Scarpetta for the last 10 or 11 years (!) And I simply can’t miss a new one. So today I got Book of the Dead by Patricia Cornwell
. I can hardly wait to start reading, but I have to get the boy in his bed first
By now I have three books at my night stand, so I’ll see you when I see you
Got a new, thick book in the mail today. I can’t wait to start reading it
There is something about getting a book in the mail, if I had more money I think I would have used a lot on books and bookcases!
I love that the book is tick. I like to hold it in my hand and look forward to reading it all
The story will last and I can enjoy it for hours and hours. Giving that the book is readable, thought, I’m not too picky, but I do have my limits...
I liked the last book from Kate Mosse and have hopes for some good hours with this one as well
I’ll tell you later on how it went.
I’m sending you this digital hug from me and MT.
One year ago we gathered to celebrate your baptism. One year ago you were so tiny, now you are big
We love you and we miss you! And so wish we could spend the day with you (several days for that matter!), because
you and your family are one of the few that we miss the most. I hope your day was great and that your mom and dad lighted the white candle and that both of your sisters joined in the celebration.
Hope to see you soon, honey!
We blow Gods blessings and all the best in your direction
Sometimes it’s frustrating being a mom:
MT: Whats for dinner?
Me: Leftovers from yesterday
MT: What did we eat yesterday?
Me: Pork
MT: Oh, nooooooooo – I hate that!
He’s a sweet little thing, isn’t he! And for the record he doesn’t hate it – he just had to use his knife and cut the meat himself yesterday and that was a lot of work!
edit/ off course it goes with the story that when served this dinner the little boy smiled at me and said: “Delicious. It looks delicious. Thanks for making me dinner!” Being mom is never a dull project

I have been feeling so out of breath this weekend. Annoying in fact because I had such wonderful plans about being outside in the sun and snow (for a while there I even thought about visiting a dear old friend, it’s been far to since last time we spent any more than a couple of hours together. But I just didn’t have the energy to go there, sadly. Sorry S!).
It turned out to be MT out in the snow and sun and me inside not feeling too good because I hate being sick. I forced myself out yesterday, I had to collect the mail down by the road and make sure that MT stayed out for more or less an hour. He’s not sick. I also tried to get rid of some of the 10 centimeter with snow that my drive way is covered in. Man, that’s hard work. Where is my snow plower man when I need him? And where to put all the snow I collect. Please tell me, because my shoulders and arms are not strong enough to run it up above the 1 meter that the snow is high around here… (so I’m lost for English word here, sorry I know that could have been better and more clear!). We have a lot of snow, even though we had more before the rainy days last week. Luckily MT is trying to help:
Had it not been for the return of the cold weather around here, there would have been a flooding/torrent of water that could cased a lot of damage to roads and fields and – in worst cases – houses and people. That would have been disastrous. Thankfully the rain stopped and the cold weather froze some of the water for now. This I took yesterday from my car on the way home from work.
That water doesn’t look much tasty!
Yesterday night we went skiing! Or, in fact, only MT did – I walked by him half of the way. He had so much fun that he had to go another round when he got to the finish line. So then I had to wait some more minutes in the soaking rain! Blah, I don’t much rain in January – it’s just not right! And all the beautiful snow gets so wet, not that it’s going away at first, since we have a lot of it – but I rather have the snow!!
Ski carousel is this strange thing where we get together to go skiing, some take a long round others, like MT and his age, take a shorter round. It’s fun to be together like this and even thought it’s not a competition the children try to show their best and learn from friends and adults how to ski. Not that MT want to learn anything; he’s doing everything on his own because he knows best at the moment!

It snowed a bit today as well. So it’s like a normal day around here lately. But where shall I put all the snow when I finally get around to try and make the little path to my door a little wider?!
When I left work today I felt like I’d done nothing right. I knew it was wrong to think like that, but I still did. Mostly because two of the tasks of today didn’t end like I wanted.
It frustrates me when things don’t work out the way I intend and want. So now I have Confirmants that are angry with me and I’m not able to join my father at a farm-related seminar this coming Friday. Bummer. I can live with both, though, tomorrow it won’t bug me (so much).
The other day I saw fresh elk tracks right beside my garage. Good I didn’t meet him in the darkness. I need to put a light on that garage of mine, it’s way to dark there…
The woman that fell down the staircase at church yesterday seem to recover good. She’s hurt, but nothing is broken as far as the doctor can tell. She is one lucky lady. That landing could have been far worse and more devastating.
But I guess there will be a discussion about the use of the staircase within the congregation and church staff. This is just what we have feared!
Today we put the Christmas decoration back to it’s boxes and trowed the tree right out in the white snow. I’m torn between feeling relieved and free – and missing it all; we are after all Christmas-loving people in this house.
So I still drink my coffee from MT’s snowman-cup
(and off course I’m not quite finished with all the trowing out business, got stuck on the computer for some odd reason
)
One of these days months I’m going to update the layout of this LIMEblog. Maybe I’m going for the K2 around here as well. I sure like it at the church site! An update of the wordpress power is needed too! So much to do – but now I’m soon off to bed. Have to have some sleep!
Randomness over – so how was your Monday? – happy week everyone!
I still feel a bit shaky. Today, in the service, one of the choir members fell down a long and steep staircase when she intended to join us for communion. The noise was so loud and we all got scared, thankfully she quickly got help from those around her – we all felt the fright of the fall and felt for her. She didn’t dare to get up and laid there until the ambulance people came at the end of the service. Now she is on her way to be examined. My hope is that she didn’t break anything, but of course she got hurt when she fell.
I am keeping her in my prayer today; if you pray please remember her too!
Update: Thankfully it seems like she is doing okei, even though she is in pain after the fall there is nothing broken. That’s a good thing, but I feel for her and know that she has a period in front of her with recovering before anything is back to normal. /update..
I had the day off yesterday, but the weekend is definitive ON!

MT had the day off from kindergarten as well, because I slept too long, he didn’t mind at all keeping himself busy with Internet games and being outside practicing his skiing skills. We both went down to fetch the mail down by the main road, me on foot he skiing, the day was beautiful with a bit of sun so I brought my camera. The above is a cell phone one, belove is from my camera.
MT is at his Grandparents this weekend, we drove there yesterday afternoon. On our way we stopped to see the Bee Movie at the cinema. MT had great fun watching it, I liked it too – but not as much as I had hoped – there were just something about the this-isn’t-possible-feeling of it. Not that I did mind the bee’s talking, that I liked, but flowers don’t die in a few days time – all over the world! – and then wake up to life again as soon as the bee’s are back in action. Such things takes months. Off course MT liked that part way better than me, he’s still open to such miracles it seems
