I’m preparing a little devotion for the gathering tonight (with youths as mentioned below) and just for fun I asked MT what he thought I should say to the teenagers.

Tell them you love them, was the plain and quick answer.

My son is a wise man at the age of 5 

I’m having a really busy week with a lot of challenges. In a few hours I’m pastor at a funeral that I’ve used a bit of energy on; yesterday there was a funeral as well. Later tonight we are gathering together with young people from a greater area for a party (age 13-18). The night before May 17th (National Day of Norway) is known for a lot of partying and drinking and we want to give the youngest another way. A party with fun, fire, barbecue, games, talking, camp fire songs and Jesus – but no alcohol. Hopefully it’ll be a good happening It’s my first time there.

Tomorrow we are dressing up for May 17th, our National Day. We swing our flags and shout: HIPP HIPP HURRA; and off course there is loads of ice cream and hot dogs! MT is so looking forward to it all
