Today we celebrated the Creation at church.

We gave God thanks for all the wonderful and amazing things our world is filled with. We stopped up a little together for better to see it all. It makes me smile just thinking of how much beauty there is in the small things as well as the larger ones. Among us we had three babies (that got baptized during the service) and having them around made us better understand how fantastic God’s Creations really are(!)
But then we focused on the other side of creation, the more challenging part; how can we preserve it so our children and generations yet to come can appreciate it as we do now. I believe this is a challenge we all need to take seriously and I also believe in doing that we are in fact giving thanks and glory to God, the Creator of it all!
We have a national church aid here in Norway and their youth organization have a saying that I try to remind myself of when needed: “OFF COURSE WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD!” (I love their logo, it’s the earth but upside down
). And off course we can, and we should, one person at a time. And I’ve seen it - help in the right place do make a change for those living in that village or in that area - it works. And it makes sense for us with money to help those that have few. It’s in fact the Christian thing, no matter how hard it sometimes is to remember and just do it.
So now I’ll go home and try to make the Creation Day and everyday event. When I mess up and forget to drive less or to share what I have with others - and I will - I know I have a Father that will forgive me and then send me right out in the world again to give it another try…. Are you with me?!

The weekend a couple of weeks ago MT and I went to MT’s very first Church Camp. I’ve been wanting to introduce this to him for a while since I myself had so much fun going to camp every summer when I was child and teenager. But there isn’t many camps for the youngest that’s not Family Camp, and I didn’t want that. Finally I found that at Fjordglimt campsite there was a MiniCamp in the middle of June. So we went!

I’m a farmers daughter and when I’m taking over the farming business I would love to have a few of this kind of cows in my stock - Telemarkskua.
I love them even thought they are a bit small (they don’t give as much milk as others and not as much meat either) and a bit stubborn; whom wouldn’t love a cow with some personality
My cows shouldn’t be made out of bronze, though!

I had so much fun that I made another scrapbook page late last night. It was so late that I only managed to load it up to flickr; but here it is:

Quick page from Andilynn Designs available at ScrapMatters.com
Now I better get to work, lots of things to sort out and to start working on. At the time being I’m the head pastor (or what to call it), since he’s on vacation at the moment. Meaning that all the services, funerals and other stuff falls on me. Thankfully there has been no funerals so far, and hopefully there won’t be until next week - there is just so many things to take care off with the services and such that time is short
Anyhow; have a great and blessed week!

I’m having fun scrapbooking. So fun that I forget to eat and almost forgot to get MT home in time from kindergarten…… Ups.
And since I’m all new to this I decided to join a challenge posted by Valerie - off course just for fun - but there are prices
Valerie created a freebie template, Spring Fling, and I came up with this layout with Pirate MT! Not very springy, come to think of it……but, oh, well, the photo is from June 2007. I used another background from Ronna Penner of Scrapadelic.com and spent hours picking out colors(!) Don’t be too hard on me; I’m all new to this
(You may follow image link to larger image at Flickr)
This is more addicting than PackRat! Now I’ve started to dream about making scrapbook pages from Ethiopia, where I went to bring MT home from almost 3 yrs ago…..Anyone seen some nice African themed templates around?!

May have been really busy with a lot of work related stuff, but now it’s June and this weekend we have chilled out with friends and our selves. I love how we now can spend most of the day outdoors and eat all our meal there too.
This weekend have been both joyful, busy and relaxing. Busy because we’ve had several visitors over a short period of time (from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening; our neighbor and two children stopped by on Friday and we had a couple of invited dinner guest in the afternoon as well - Saturday my mom and dad come by and later my SIL and her daughter came as well, in the middle of it all a few of us drank coffee with our neighbors
) - and we also got to known our neighbors a bit better. Relaxing because we have spent time with family and friends and moved in slow motion (the last part goes for me anyway), we have also got time to do whatever we like, not caring about dishes and laundry and such
MT have spend a while in his new swimming pool and I have enjoyed reading a few magazines from last year - and gotten a few lovely ideas for my outdoor living!
Today we went to service in a church not far from here and then we’ve spent the day relaxing and doing whatever. Sadly it’s a bit blowy outside and it makes it a bit cold, but we have been a lot outside still.
Now MT is enjoying a TV session and I turned on the PC just to see what’s happened during the last few days…… Soon we’re eating dinner and then more relaxing until bedtime. Tomorrow will be busy so better take it slowly when we can

This blog was in desperate need of an not-winterly team. So I changed a few things
At least the stripes is in colors of early summer, it’ll stay for now, hopefully I’ll be able to do a major re-designing of the site later. And with later I mean by the end of August
, or something like that. I guess I’ll be back to play a little with the colors, but right now I want to go out in the evening sun and eat a few cup cakes with my son
Please tell me if anything looks odd or wrong at your end.
