Monday 2nd:
HM opening the door

We spent the first week of March with friends in western Norway. So nice! I took a bunch of photos and it was not easy choosing just one, but I really love this one of the youngest daughter of my friend closing and opening the door. We spent the daytime together with her and her mom. In the afternoon MT got to hang out with the slightly older than him twin girls when they came home from school. They had a super time together both outside and inside. It’s so nice to see how well they play together. It was pancakes for dinner, MT’s favorite – could his day be any better?!?

If you are family or friend at flickr you can view the original here.

Tuesday 3rd:

lighting the candle

One of the great things about visiting friends is to enjoy a meal together, here one of the twin girls are lighting the candle for the table.

Wednesday 4th:

yellow stripe

Sadly the youngest of the girls in the family got sick. Poor kiddo. But even though we had a great day together. MT and I went to town for a little shopping and later MT got to go skiing with the twins and their dad. He loved that!! When they got back we found that MT had forgotten his snowboard by the slope and since we were leaving the next day we had to go and fetch it right away. The three big kids went with me, it was so nice driving with happy kids in the back seat and it was great to have local kids that could tell me when to go right, left or straight ahead. :D I just wish I could remember more of the conversation going on back there, the only thing I can remember is smiling often and feeling so happy for spending the time with them.

Thursday 5th:

swing set and good friends

The twins had their day off school so we got to be together with them all day. I tried to take a bunch of photos of the girls, to look at when we miss them too much, living so far away :D (I also hope to make something with them for their parents – but, hush, don’t tell anyone. LOL).

In the evening we said our goodbyes and went to some of our other friends in Sogn. It’s both sad and nice at the same, sad to leave our friends after just a few days together – nice that we actually got to spend some days with them and nice to see our other friends and spend some time with them as well!

Friday 6th:

Bea's living room

My friend was a work in the kindergarten so we planned to swing by there later in the day. But first we got to eat breakfast with her since she started late. Me and the kiddo spent some time on the computer and just relaxing a bit, then we went down to the fjord and to our old neighborhood. It was great to stroll around a bit and meet old neighbors, looking at our old church and see the ferries going to and from. For MT it was almost to much to take in at first, especially when we went by the school and kindergarten. But he was so happy when he got to go home with his old friend and take the bus like any other school boy. :) I went by some other friends and then headed up to Bea and spent the evening with her and her family.

Saturday 7th:

MT and mummy

I always miss MT when he’s away, but I knew he had a great time with his old pal E. They came up later that afternoon so I got to meet and talk with him and his mother a little as well. Nice. We had a great evening, talking, eating and just chilling together.

Sunday 8th:

going home

I woke up not feeling too good, I guess I had some fever but didn’t messure it. When we got up in the living room Bea’s husband told us that she was sick. We ate some breakfast and after a while my friend came to say goodbye to us,  not feeling much better – poor thing. We drove down to the ferry and went back home. Our mighty nice vacation was over for this time. By the time we got home I felt like I was burning up and I had a fever.

The next week I was down with the flu…. but that is another story.
