MT came into the kitchen all wild and crazy shouting:  “the girls are here, the girls are here, the girls are here, the girls are here“. Hehe. He got me smiling, and I guessed the neighbors are having visitors again; I was right and he asked if he could go and talk with them. I said yes – and out he went.

Some minutes later he came back and asked if he were allowed to go with them to the house they are staying and play. Off course he could.

How I wish he had a neighbor this close and on this side of the main road. Then they could run to and from each other all day long. And the weekend would be just as fun as playing with his mates in kindergarten!

He really misses having a friend living close by. And so do I!!

I’m so proud of my self for finishing this. Now I only have 11 months left…. Hehe. Hopefully I’ll finish the week LO’s too so I can have room for some journaling – but this is at least something.

I’m working on a couple of sermons today and I thought I might check my archive here to see if I found something interesting. And I did. So this is a link to some thoughts I had in late May 2005 about the text for coming Sunday. Nice!!

In June 2006 I found some other thoughts that help me find the words for the service today. I wished I placed all my sermons and faith thoughts here – but sometimes it’s just too much work to translate it to English. Sorry.

I do, however, plan to bring my favorite pillow to church today.

red and blue

And I do plan to tell them about an old movie (from the 70s?!) – I can’t remember what it’s called in English, but the Norwegian is Korset og springkniven (it’s a well known book as well). I found it, the English title is the same: The Cross and the Switchblade. It’s about David Wilkerson (or some more from him here) and his meeting with the gangs of New York city. I never forget the passage where one of the gang members tell David to shut up: -  if he tells him one more time that God loves him he will cut David into small pieces. David is afraid, but still manages to say:

If you do that, every tiny bit of me will shout out to you that God loves you!

The gang member goes away, but later he finds his way into believing in Christ. (Note, I don’t have the book in front of me, so this is the happening as I remember reading it….. Should really dig out the book and read it again, it’s been years since last time I looked in it).

And there you have it, a real blog post from me :) Great! I love writing blog post – and it helps me gather my thoughts :) Now if I only could do it more often……

Anyhow, it’s a rainy day at my place – hope there is sun where you are. Remember God loves you no matter what the day is like – or how good or bad you are – he just loves us!!

Monday 18th:

eating ice cream

Spent most of the day at the farm with my parents, before we headed back home for the evening. MT wasn’t quite finished with eating ice cream on our national day, so he was happy to help Grandma empty her freezer (come to think of it – we all were..)

Tuesday 19th:

nice conversation

MT having a nice chat with Linda. We are going to miss her when she moves away soon – but we wish her luck in her new job and are so glad for the time she has spent here and for all her good work among the youths!!

Wednesday 20th:

Another week with some holes in it photo-ways I mean. But from Wednesday of I think I have it covered (at least to the end of the month…) ;)

We tried to take it slowly today. Not always easy after a busy week, but I managed some… Then we met a couple youths to prepare for their big service coming Sunday (konfirmasjon). Because they were only two and both were listening to what I told them (wow.) it went really fast.

However I didn’t remember to take any photos this day, the above is a favorite from our youth camp late April.

lime bites

MT went to the dentist today, he hadn’t been in for over two years so I was a bit worried about how his teeth were. But the dentist told us that he had shiny, strong teeth and keep on brushing like we do and please come back in two years time.

Oh, my, this was a super busy week and I failed to snap a photo more days than I got it done :( I’ve looked back short and long to fill in the blanks…..

Monday 4th:

need some food

If I remember correctly all we did was hang out at home, MT joined me for a meeting with the youths (where we practiced and prepared for the big Confirmation Service) and I did some scrap booking. Visiting my facebook profile I see that I ordered the tickets for our trip to North Norway on this day so that’s why the photo above is of MT and a plane and taken on our last trip up to our friends in May-June 2007. Can’t wait to go there again!! It might be more, but sadly I can’t remember (help me anyone?!)

Tuesday 5th:

me + camera

Today MT went for a physical check and he had so much fun because the physiotherapist had so many fun toys to play with and so many challenging things to try out. After he went to kindergarten – happy to meet up with his friends again!

I did a blog post about a new scrap page both here and at my lime scrapped blog. But I did not snap any photos sadly, so I’m using a photo from May 2nd with my new hair cut – and a camera ;)

Monday 27th:

We spent the day at the farm. Nice and relaxing.

Tuesday 28th:

Truls - the elg(k)

This spring we got a new neighbor, Truls the elg(k). Every other day or so he was in the field above or below our house not caring much if we got out to talk with him. I reckon he’s a year old or so and out on his own for the first time. For this photo I wished I had a better lens, but so be it ;)
