When we got home from our vacation trip the other day the house looked like it always do (as messy as it was when I left
) - I put on the stove since we all were terrible hungry - and started to fetch our stuff from dads car while it was warming up. It wasn’t before I was about to put the pizza in the stove, but decided to put some fresh chili on it, I opened the fridge door. I smelled the problem (or maybe a whole rang of problems…), the smell was bad. And after looking around a bit in search of the smelly food, I suddenly discovered that the fridge light was off and that the fridge was silent and in fact not running. What?!
It snowed a bit today as well. So it’s like a normal day around here lately. But where shall I put all the snow when I finally get around to try and make the little path to my door a little wider?!
When I left work today I felt like I’d done nothing right. I knew it was wrong to think like that, but I still did. Mostly because two of the tasks of today didn’t end like I wanted.
It frustrates me when things don’t work out the way I intend and want. So now I have Confirmants that are angry with me and I’m not able to join my father at a farm-related seminar this coming Friday. Bummer. I can live with both, though, tomorrow it won’t bug me (so much).
The other day I saw fresh elk tracks right beside my garage. Good I didn’t meet him in the darkness. I need to put a light on that garage of mine, it’s way to dark there…
The woman that fell down the staircase at church yesterday seem to recover good. She’s hurt, but nothing is broken as far as the doctor can tell. She is one lucky lady. That landing could have been far worse and more devastating.
But I guess there will be a discussion about the use of the staircase within the congregation and church staff. This is just what we have feared!
Today we put the Christmas decoration back to it’s boxes and trowed the tree right out in the white snow. I’m torn between feeling relieved and free - and missing it all; we are after all Christmas-loving people in this house.
So I still drink my coffee from MT’s snowman-cup
(and off course I’m not quite finished with all the trowing out business, got stuck on the computer for some odd reason
)
One of these days months I’m going to update the layout of this LIMEblog. Maybe I’m going for the K2 around here as well. I sure like it at the church site! An update of the wordpress power is needed too! So much to do - but now I’m soon off to bed. Have to have some sleep!
Randomness over - so how was your Monday? - happy week everyone!
This morning when I got out of bed our neighbor and his tractor also arrived to remove the snow in my driveway. I was so pleased to see him and couldn’t help but look out the window as he did his job. He did it fast and not very thorough, but good enough I guess - it’s good for me to spend some time outside as well
Now I’m curious if his coming back in the morning, there has been some more snow during this day, but I’m not sure if he feels it’s enough for another trip here…. Even though he used only 3 (oh yea, I mean three) minutes at my property. That’s kind of fast isn’t it?!
And I do need him; so I’m sure to get my car out of the garage and safely drive to the main road, drop of MT at the kindergarten AND get to work in time
edit My trusty snow plower hadn’t been there clearing my driveway when I left home this morning; hopefully he’ll come around later today. Hm…. maybe he’s not so trusty? /edit
I have mice in my cellar. I hate that! They’ve attached my dish washer (it was stored down there for now) and my washing machine and made a hole in a robber tube under the last one. Now the water runs right out again, and all over the floor(!), instead of staying inside the machine and doing it’s business there! So now it’s war!! Grrrrr…… mice run for hiding, I’m bringing traps.
So far the score is 2 - 2, but I guess my score might have grown - I haven’t checked the traps today. And my dad brought 2 new of the newest kind so I’m armed and dangerous
….to the mice that is!
