monthly
I was thinking about a good 10 things for my blog post this month. And suddenly it hit me how fun it would be to look at the photos from the tenth day of each month of this year. (I didn’t take a photo on every 10th of the month, if I went up or down a couple of days I usually found something. I am in the habit of taking a lot of photos).
Here the photos are in chronological order:

If you want to read more about each months photo, just click on it and jump over to my Flickr account.
I loved the hunt for older photos taken on, or close to, the 10th each of the previous months, how long has it been since you last looked at your photos from the same day of the month for several months?! If ever. You should do it now. I’ll tell you; it was fun! A tiny little snap shot of (almost) a year. From winter to fall. From white, through green to orange-brown.

And really soon I’ll be back blogging my Gratitude. Life is kind of thigh right now and I am thankful for getting through each day + for sleep and a few quiet moments to my self in between all the hustle and bustle. It’s lots of good stuff thought!
I’ve been so into Christmas lately, and have been gathering ideas for what to make and do during the month of December when ever I’ve had a few minutes to spare. Many of these I’ve pinned on my Christmas board. Here are my 10 favorite ideas, so far:

There are so much that happens during a month; so many memories; so many conversations and interaction. I love to capture a few moments of this; snapping a photo; putting together a scrapbook page or writing a story. Some of it for sharing; some of it for keeping close to my heart. By the end of each month I want to take a little pause. Stop for a moment and look behind on the days we just have lived.
This was how the Monthly Recap of this blog came to be. Highly inspired by Katie the Scrapbook Ladys and her RoundUp posts. I’m trying to keep it fairly easy on my self, but at the same time I want to bring a few numbers to the table as well as a few highlights and (maybe) some low points as well. Since being a pastor is such a big part of my life, I’ll throw in a few numbers from that as well.

So here we go, this month: June 2011, in numbers

- Summer Vacation! (I still have a couple of weeks left!)
Low points
- Too many rainy days
- The price of a new lawn mower (but I really need one, sigh!)
……………………………………………………………
And that just about covers it. Look for details on a few of the above mentioned happenings in a blog post or a digital scrapbook layout in the future. I also have a couple of post planned already: 1) a post for the Capture Your 365 Blog Hop on the 7th and 2) a post with 10 Things on the 10th.
There is always more to tell
Hope you find time to enjoy the season!

Highlights
- MT have some new neighbors at his own age, loving to play with them after school.
- I’m inspired to keep up with my 365 photo project at Capture your 365. Such a friendly place!
- MT have tried the river water, it was fun – but cold.
- We spent Easter together with family and celebrated the 8 year old ![]()
- Spring came with lots of sunshine and warm weather. Enjoying it!
- MT had lots of fun playing in a football cup + staying at a hotel with a large indoor swimming pool.
Low points
- My back is acting up. Think it is the muscles having some sort of fun with me (not!). Feels better today, so hoping it’ll go away soon. I have lots to do in May.
- Haven’t gotten around to install more RAM at the desktop computer, it runs really slow – and MT is longing for a few games of FIFA.

I’ve been wanting to do a kind of monthly roundup ever since I saw the idea at Katie the Scrapbook Lady’s blog over a year ago. I have no idea if I can keep it up, but I’m thinking of doing this post each month – a sort of a roundup or recap of the month we just left. I’m trying to keep it fairly easy on my self, but at the same time I want to bring a few numbers to the table as well as a few highlights and (maybe) some low points as well. Since being a pastor is such a big part of my life, I’ll throw in a few numbers from that as well (only a few, though
).
So here we go, this month, September 2010, in numbers:
208 – photos taken (not counting iPhone this time. Kind of low, for me, but it’s been a busy month).
14 – layouts made (2 will be reveal later this month):
4 – pages made for the Learning Something New Every Day
6 – blog post written (September archive)
3 – soccer match nights (for MT, I missed one)
………………… work related ………………
5 – services held | 3 - funerals | 0 – weddings

Highlights
September had quite a few highlights, both in my personal life and my work life:
- MT is now a 2nd grader and LOVES it!
- I got asked by Steph to join the Daily Digi team
- our church was visited by our Bishop (happens only once every 7 year and is a BIG thing)
- we had our first SPRELL LEVANDE service (see blog post for more details)
- we started our church’s Sunday school for kids with 11 kids attending (that is around 30 % of the kids of this age living here, so we’re so happy! And we had a GOOD time together too!)
- Bought a new laptop, this time a Mac book. Can’t wait for it to arrive!
Low points
- Love the colors of fall, but we could use some warm days instead of rainy days this month
- My mom had to go to hospital for a few days in the middle of the month
- I can’t seem to get everything I want to accomplish done (but I guess that is the case for most of you, though. Makes me feel a little bit better about it). I wanted to be a part of Learning Something New Every Day with Shimelle this month, but got out of the habit of jotting down what I learned last week and have only scrapped the first two days so far… Kind of bummed by this, but I’ll try to get a few more pages made in October AND add the last days of learning to my list so I know what to scrap when I get around to it…
- my computer is dying on me (but take a look at the highlights..)
