Edit: now I only have 1 problem…. kind off

I’m planning a big Confirmant-year opening this weekend. So far I think there is 16 youths that have joined in. This weekend we are going to get to know each other and their parents/family is also invited to a bit of it. Hopefully the weather will hold so we can barbecue by the church as planned :D

There is, at this point, only two one problems:

  1. I can’t find any adults that wants to spend the night with us, I don’t know of anybody to ask either. :( And even though the youths might be nice and all, I really would want us to be 2 adult present.
  2. There is, off course, a soccer cup this weekend and many of the youths would rather be there.

Now I’m tossing and turning to find a way to make this weekend happen. Or else we might have to cansel the sleeping over part, and I so don’t want that! This year I plan to have a course for the “old” confirmants to teach them how to be a camp leader, so that might help in the long term run of things. But in the short term there is so few to choose from!

The farm; apples
These apples remind me of taking time to let things grow……

Right now I’m home doing a bit of house keeping, soon I’ll head down to the office for a short while to send some mail and try to figure out how to make a email newspaper. ;) Please help me if you know how!

Any minute now I’ll be upgrading this blog to WordPress 2.6.

This site is long overdue for some updating, so it’s about time. But I’m also putting MT to bed at the same time, so my guess is there will be some trouble along the way. Hopefully not not of the impossible kind…. :D

This blog was in desperate need of an not-winterly team. So I changed a few things ;)

At least the stripes is in colors of early summer, it’ll stay for now, hopefully I’ll be able to do a major re-designing of the site later. And with later I mean by the end of August :P , or something like that. I guess I’ll be back to play a little with the colors, but right now I want to go out in the evening sun and eat a few cup cakes with my son :D

Please tell me if anything looks odd or wrong at your end.

I’m going to add a forum for my church site (for children, youths and young adults in the congregation where I work), I’d be very pleased if anyone could recommend a good software for it (of the free ones - I have nothing to pay with ;) ). Right now I’m planning to use the bbPress version since it seems like a good idea, the site running already on WordPress and all. But, please, help is appreciated!!

I’m having so much fun learning how to build my very own theme for wordpress blogs that the time is running too fast. If I intend to get out of bed in the morning tomorrow (rather: today!) then it’s better for me to walk away from the screen right about now. But I don’t want to!

If you, like me, are keen on learning a bit more about coding and making - or tweaking - a wordpress theme, there is help to be found. Right now I’m at Small Potato’s place - WPdesign - following his tutorials on how to make wordpress themes. So far, so good! Maybe I finally can make my very own lime-look and not only tweak the themes a little (or a lot!), like the current one?! Wish me luck!

Maybe one of these could be a good start for lime’s next theme:

I have - finally - broad band at home! Now this house feels like mine ;) For a while there I thought I wasn’t up to set it up by my self, but then I discovered that I had the cables all mixed up. Blah! Good thing I didn’t call support…. That would have been embarrassing.

funny guy

I might not use it every day, but it sure feels good to be able to if I have something to search for, read or comment. This past two months without internet have sure made that clear! I’ve been frustrated more than once, to tell the truth..but not any more!

LOL; I’ll make a longer post another time. Now I’m just happy!

I’m opening the comments again. Think I have fixed it and that it was a wrong in the table at mySQL, if you see anything funny -> let me know!!

Have a wonderful Advent!
I’ve given up the hope for a broad band at my home any day now - but hopefully we’ll have it by Christmas! Blah!

Here is just a few - I have to go to bed - more to find here!

I’ve actually been online on and off for a while now, but MT had to try our new toy when he got back - and then off course I had to get him to bed before it got too late - and a few other things. But this evening I’m out here, surfing and configuring…..

I have taken a few photos too, so soon I’ll uploade them as well ;) Or you can just head over to my vox right now and see the two first photos of the computer :o

My new computer - Dell, off course - is delivered to a gas station close by. I’ve cleared (ehem, not cleaned…. my house is a mess as always :(  but right now I don’t care ;) ) some room for it so now I’m out to fetch it :D Good thing MT is with a friend at their farm having a fun time; cause then I can spend all day on my new toy too

Just remembered; I have some leftovers in the fridge - doesn’t have to use time preparing for dinner either…….

Hopefully the setup goes alright. And I’m new to Vista, but I guess it’ll be easy enough to get the important things in place before long. So, see you soon :D

Hm..

When upgrading a blog, make sure to be awake. If not, go to bed and upgrade another day!!

I’m sorry for messing everything up yesterday! Hopefully it’s working all right again now ;)

I’m trying to upgrade to 2.1, so it might be some hiccups ;)
Commenting is off during this event, and so is my plugins….

Hopefully I see you later on, looking all normal :D

My parents left for Telemark and back home this morning. So now I’ve been sitting here in my living room all alone all evening. Me and the net, that is ;) I’ve discovered a few news online and one of them have taken up my time. You find it here, a new Lime home at Virb.com. Or, it’s more like a cottage or a summer home compared to this Lime blog!!

Project 365 - Blue sky; Feb 6.2007 I’ve also discovered a few really good pop/rock Christian artists at this place, that I’d never heard about before. Chris Tomlin, Sara Groves, Sonic Flood and Darlene Zschech and even a few more I can’t find right now. So it’s been an evening with music as well as words and photos…. ;)

I have also befriended Jesus at virb, so why don’t you come on over and join us?! We can go away for the weekend… And spend a short time a far way from home. Sharing coffee and some chocolates (it’s the weekend after all!) I’ll bring Limes, can you bring water?!? 8)

Hugs from me.

I’ve been messing a bit with the coloring of my layout, I’m not finished with the whole color scheme, but I have figured out how to change the rounded corner and dotted areas in the heading. I used Gimp and just changed the colormap - it was in fact not that hard :D Now I just have to clean up the colors a bit and keep the few 3-5 colors, or so, that I like and which works with my lime photo.

Do you have a favorite tool or maybe a website you go to find the perfect color scheme? And can anyone tell me how I can find just the right hex of the colors in my photo to use in the design…??!!

Thanks in advance :P

As you can see Lime now comes in different colors and a new form; but it’s still me ;) Needed a change and even though this is a bit blend and the “wrong” fruit is in the heading - I kind of like it  (update: changed the heading, so no more wrong fruit; it’s no fruit!! :D)
I have tried to get all of my “things” with me and to this sidebar, but it was not an easy job - as you might have seen if you visited me this last few hours- and it took me some time…..

Hope you like my new home :!:

This day has been a long day. Started out with a normal day at work, preparing for church on Sunday and also figuring out if I (ie: the church) wanted to join in on an application for money to hire a person in children- and youth programs; I/we did(!) and even thought we might not get a change to hire anyone we’ll have a change to look at our educational programs and hopefully make them better…..

After work I was home for 1,5 hour for dinner and some relaxation. And then me and MT were off to a youth night at our church’s children- and youth room. Usually my friend is the one in charge, but since she had an operation last Monday (everything went fine) she’s out of the circus for a while and we have to manage without her. This Friday was mine, i wanted to get to know them a bit before I made any decisions for the group this spring. Many of them I know from other areas, though, so it wasn’t all new. We shared some words, thoughts and dinner. They had fun in the gym, and MT kept himself awake ;) But, man, was i glad when we parted at 10:00 pm; I was so tired - still am - and so was my dear little big boy!!

Tomorrow we’ve planned a little visit to my newly operated friend, so I guess we’ll talk a bit about Friday night with the youths and make some decisions about the spring program. AND I do plan to sleep for a long time, but since it’s 1:13 am here it’s about time to sign off - so nighty, night!! ZZZzzzzz
