This blog was in desperate need of an not-winterly team. So I changed a few things

At least the stripes is in colors of early summer, it’ll stay for now, hopefully I’ll be able to do a major re-designing of the site later. And with later I mean by the end of August , or something like that. I guess I’ll be back to play a little with the colors, but right now I want to go out in the evening sun and eat a few cup cakes with my son

Please tell me if anything looks odd or wrong at your end.

I’m having so much fun learning how to build my very own theme for wordpress blogs that the time is running too fast. If I intend to get out of bed in the morning tomorrow (rather: today!) then it’s better for me to walk away from the screen right about now. But I don’t want to!

If you, like me, are keen on learning a bit more about coding and making - or tweaking - a wordpress theme, there is help to be found. Right now I’m at Small Potato’s place - WPdesign - following his tutorials on how to make wordpress themes. So far, so good! Maybe I finally can make my very own lime-look and not only tweak the themes a little (or a lot!), like the current one?! Wish me luck!

I’ve been messing a bit with the coloring of my layout, I’m not finished with the whole color scheme, but I have figured out how to change the rounded corner and dotted areas in the heading. I used Gimp and just changed the colormap - it was in fact not that hard Now I just have to clean up the colors a bit and keep the few 3-5 colors, or so, that I like and which works with my lime photo.

Do you have a favorite tool or maybe a website you go to find the perfect color scheme? And can anyone tell me how I can find just the right hex of the colors in my photo to use in the design…??!!

So now I’ve better step away from the computer and do some seriously washing of this house of mine!! I’ve had some fun trying out different colors and played a bit with the css-file. I almost got addicted to ColorsLovers, there is sooooo many beautiful colors and lots of beautiful palettes to get inspired from!! I’ve changed the theme color vice several places, but wish I’d knew how to change the background color without making the rounded corners in the heading look like a mess and how to locate the sidebar background color in the css-file(!) Help is appreciated!

And then we’ve gotten some more snow.“Mama, do you know it’s snow outside?!” MT screamed to me this morning; happy boy! We walked to kindergarten and he had some fun following tracks in the snow - and making his own. Hopefully it’ll stay a while and maybe “grow” so MT is able to go skiing again.

I almost forgot; my washing-list:

• kitchen; everything
• bathroom; floor and toilet

+ at least one machine wash and some paper reduction….

As you can see Lime now comes in different colors and a new form; but it’s still me Needed a change and even though this is a bit blend and the “wrong” fruit is in the heading - I kind of like it (update: changed the heading, so no more wrong fruit; it’s no fruit!! :D)
I have tried to get all of my “things” with me and to this sidebar, but it was not an easy job - as you might have seen if you visited me this last few hours- and it took me some time…..

This day has been a long day. Started out with a normal day at work, preparing for church on Sunday and also figuring out if I (ie: the church) wanted to join in on an application for money to hire a person in children- and youth programs; I/we did(!) and even thought we might not get a change to hire anyone we’ll have a change to look at our educational programs and hopefully make them better…..

After work I was home for 1,5 hour for dinner and some relaxation. And then me and MT were off to a youth night at our church’s children- and youth room. Usually my friend is the one in charge, but since she had an operation last Monday (everything went fine) she’s out of the circus for a while and we have to manage without her. This Friday was mine, i wanted to get to know them a bit before I made any decisions for the group this spring. Many of them I know from other areas, though, so it wasn’t all new. We shared some words, thoughts and dinner. They had fun in the gym, and MT kept himself awake But, man, was i glad when we parted at 10:00 pm; I was so tired - still am - and so was my dear little big boy!!

Tomorrow we’ve planned a little visit to my newly operated friend, so I guess we’ll talk a bit about Friday night with the youths and make some decisions about the spring program. AND I do plan to sleep for a long time, but since it’s 1:13 am here it’s about time to sign off - so nighty, night!! ZZZzzzzz

I’m testing new looks of my LIME home, so sorry if the place do look a little strange and the usual things is missing. I love to hear if anything different you see (other than my blue and green theme) are to your liking

Now I’m handing in the towel, for today anyway…

My son’s been doing early mornings lately, so I better follow him on that (or else, more to clean up when I get out of bed my self)! To bad, I love this nights out here

If anyone have some suggestion as to how my sidebar can be a little more…. Well, not so boring and square.. Please let me know. Especially do I miss like the output of the calendar!! I’m not at all happy with the theme there (but since I can’t write my own, I have to use what I think is at least half way there..) - but I love the colors and the photo; even though I might have to change that one after a bit and use some of my own photos…

WordPress is fun!!

Yay! Then that problem was taken care off. It was my permalink settings, I just wanted it to be default - but the default for some reason didn’t want to work… when I choosed one of the other options everything went back to normal!!

Then I can move over to more fun stuff: hacking my new theme… One of the first things is to do something about this smilies; can’t see why they have to be so big and take up so much space in a post. Then I have to go add stuff to my sidebar and move around on some of the stuff that’s already there…. But later; now food!! (jepp, got the son in bed but forgot to eat - had to figure out why my blog had bugs…)

This has been a day with little productive going on….
I slept longer than I needed and the rest of the day has been just as slow

Well, I did wash some laundry - but has yet to hang it up (if I ever want it to dry!)

I’ve also done some changes on my blog and searched for a new theme, but haven’t done much more that that….and I know there is some work needed to keep the stuff in the sidebar if I want another theme (AND I do!), in other words –> I need another slow day to make that happen! And a photo for the heading Time will show

If you have a theme to suggest for me I’ll appreciate it!

I’ve also uploaded some photos to eurofoto in the hope of getting some hard copies of my favorite photos! Have ordered some and are curious about how they will look!

Now I have some more laundry to attend to and then: night, night.
Tomorrow is the first of some really busy days!

I’ve been trying out some themes for WP 1.5, I have a great desire to make my own - but think I have to wait a little bit before I acctually can make that happen!!!

For now I’m looking for a nice LIME graphic to make a new heading of. …. well, that will happen when it happens
