If you’ve been reading this blog for a while. And if you care about scrapbooking. My guess is that you’ve noticed that I’ve been on a couple of Creative Teams. The one I’ve been on the longest is the team working with Sweet Tomato Designs product, and I’ve loved my stay there. Sadly Cara, the designer, have decided to step down from designing. I’m really going to miss her and her bold colors! Luckily she doesn’t retire as an online friend
Here is a page done with her latest kit Fallish:

Right now she has a huge sale at her store, but there is only one day left(!)
Here are a few of my favorite kits:

Please run over to her store and give her a good goodbye sale! Thanks.
I just knew, that all the thinking and photographing of Favorites back in August, would be food for my scrapbook pages for months to come; in fact I made this one below after only three days of capturing – and I can feel a few more coming along as the fall sets into a new winter.
This first part of September have been rather busy as it always is when everything starts back up again. Lots of good conversations and plans in the making at work, though and lots of photos to share and memories to capture on digital (and traditional) scrapbook pages as the light day time gets shorter and the dark evenings gets longer here in the north. I’m so glad for belonging to a couple great Creative Teams and I get plenty of inspiration for my scrapbook pages from my fellow team members. Love that.

I have a favorite place to sit down. It’s the front step on the farm house back home. It brings back so many good memories from both my childhood and adult life. It makes me feel calmer and more at peace.
I’ve been sitting here talking with friends or members of our family more times than I can count. I’ve been sitting here in the morning with my coffee and a book, happy for a little time on my own. I’ve been sitting here in the summer as the sun sets behind the mountain, enjoying the last few rays of sunshine. I’ve been sitting here gazing down over our fields, just letting the thoughts wander.
Today I barely had time to sit down and make MT take a photo of me before it got too dark. But I’ll be back one of these days preferably with a cup of coffee in my hand or a book to read. Trying to grab what’s left of the summer feeling. [August 2011]
This time I used products from this month’s Digi Files, from The Daily Digi. I’ve been a follower of the site since it launched and love all the great information found there as well as the new products available each month. I’m now on the creative team for the site, and love it there!
If you want to get to know the owner, Steph, a little bit better you can listen to an interview she did with Tim Conley of the Foolish Adventure, or you can listen to the digi podcast she produces, The Digi Show. I love that show and can’t wait for new shows starting next week
Feels like I’m talking to some good old friends about the passion we all share for scrapbooking. Off course, they can’t hear me talking to them, but still, I share plenty of laughs with them non the less.
So, where do you go for inspiration to feed your passion?!

It’s the last day of the month and I wanted to give a plug for The Digi Files from The Daily Digi. And to show off the layouts I made for July (off course). I’ll squish it in here in between all the Week In The Life stuff going on right now
MT were beyond thrilled about his new bike.

When I got there you met me with the usual: ‘What are you doing here so early?!’ I saw a little anger in your eyes, you really don’t want me to pick you up until the closing time. But this time I had to: ‘We’re going to buy you a bike’, I answered. Instantly you started smiling, from ear to ear and you started jumping around hugging you friends while shouting out: ‘I’m going to get a bike!’. And then we went out to the car and you were still bubbly happy. ‘I’m getting a new bike’. You’ve been waiting for this since your birthday in April, I think you might have worried that this day might never come. But today it did. Enjoy your new big boy bike my son

A good friend visiting. A little barbecue planned, by the lake. A beautiful, although slightly windy day. Some time to spend together. No reason not to dip your toes into the water. The two of you dipped your whole bodies, I might add, I stuck to the dipping my toes thing. It was a bit cold, but not too bad (again according to you brave guys, my toes felt a bit chilly…). This was an afternoon well spent! Hoping to do it again soon

A lot of great digital products this month as usual. Remember this is the last day to purchase the July edition of The Digi Files. Tomorrow is a new Game on.
I wanted to put in a little plug for The Daily Digi since it’s the last day to purchase The [June] Digi Files. If you want to learn more you can check out The Digi Game for options for subscriptions and more; so you’ll never miss another set of files.
This month I’ve been a bad blogger and haven’t been sharing any of the layouts – but here we go:
Journal: I remember the day we went to the store to buy a new bike for you. Your 2nd bike. You were happy happy happy. I remember trying to get you to chose a big boy bike, but you refused. ‘It’s too big mama, I’m going to get hurt falling off’. So I gave in and we bought the bike you wanted. It took only a month before I started regretting not pushing you; when visiting our friends you rode a grown up bike with ease. And it took only a year before you started complaining that it was too small. (Sigh.)
Today I saw your big smile; borrowing your friend’s bike. I know, I know. Digging deep in my pocket as we speak. Ready for bike #3?!
speak bubble says:
‘Mama! I really want a new bike. You know how I’ve grown so much this year. I’m getting too big for this old little one now. And I want one with gears. 21 gears would be good. Can I? Pretty Please!’
Journal: Sometimes you just love making funny and silly faces, there is no point in denying that. I have plenty of evidence.
Love you goofball! Mamma

Spring equals Confirmant Services around here. Not that I haven’t been with the youths all year long. But in Early May (usually) the big service with family and friends are happening. And, wow, there are a lot off people gathering in church – and a lot of happiness as well. And nervousness too, to be honest. Mostly from the youths, but also from me.
It’s a bittersweet time for me. After following them throughout the year, this is a good bye of sorts. No more classes or gatherings. No more questions I have no answers for, silliness when they should be working or big smiles around the table because we shared a funny story.
I know there will be other youths coming along. Other smiles, questions and quest. But right now I’m just going to let it be all about them. I’m going to miss them, for sure. But I’m also happy to see them on this very special day. All dressed up, big smiles and with so much of their life before them.
We prayed for them in church. I told them to keep Jesus close at heart. To put their trust in Him. I also told them to never forget that they are more valuable than anything else, that they are like beautiful pearls. I hope they dare to believe that.
I’m keeping them in my prayers and thoughts. Wishing them all that is good including a relationship with God. A bittersweet day, but also such a happy day.
Journal: As soon as the spring starts to turn into summer, as soon you start to ask the question: ‘Mama, can we go fishing today?’. You have yet to catch a fish, but you still love to walk down to the lake and spend a few hours preoccupied with the water, the bait and the floating platform. I don’t mind following you, as long as it’s not raining. One of these times, a beautiful Saturday evening, I snapped a few photos with my phone. I love how they captured the feel of the sunny evening, the peace and joy. I guess there will be many more fishing trips throughout the summer. Each of them a everyday happy moment.

So there you have it! Lots of layouts done with the June collection
Thanks for looking – and reading!!
And, if you don’t already are a listener, please check out the digi show – a podcast all about digital scrapbooking. I love the conversation going on and can’t wait for another edition next week.
I have two new digital scrapbooking pages to share. I made them with Raspberry Limeade a new kit by Sweet Tomato Designs. It’s brand new today and you can read more about it on her blog – or jump right over to Funky Playground Designs where she has one of her stores.

I always love the moment when the spring really takes over for the winter. When the snow is melted away and new sprouts are coming from the trees. That’s the time when I bring my cup of coffee with me outside. Licking some sun after the long and cold winter. And this spring, the spring of 2011, have been amazingly warm and sunny, so much that the birch already are green and beautiful a week before May even starts. I will enjoy this and keep spending some of my hours outside. The rain will come again , the chilly weather will be back. But right now the sun is here, the spring is in the making and everything thing wakes up to new life again. Even I can feel it.
Right now our spring is rather cold and cloudy. We could use some rain – to be honest, but I would like for it to come now and not at the weekend. Please?! After that I’m ready for warm spring weather again.
I tend to spend a lot of my days indoors, due to a couple of things (mostly): First my working hours tend to be in my office or somewhere else inhouse. Secondly when I get back home, there are plenty of tasks to take care of, like laundry and dishes that needs washing, dinner in the making. But when spring finally comes around I run outside to soaking it all in.

Look for the Capture Your 365 blog hop tomorrow.
I have a new layout to share with you. I made it almost a month ago, but today it’s the day for reveal of another contribution to The Digi Files @ The Daily Digi. I loved working with Sara’s templates and had so much fun trying piecing together all the papers for this one. The papers are from designers from 9th & Bloom (also part of the files this month).

I love being on the team for The Daily Digi and feel so grateful for all the stories I get to tell by making layouts with the files each month (we work a month ahead, so right now I work on the May edition
). More good stuff to come!
I’ve been so eager to tell, and I finally can!
A few weeks ago I got asked to join the Creative Team at the Daily Digi. I can’t tell you how thrilled I was and how much I enjoy my first few days there at the team. As I type this I have still a hard time believing that it true. The Daily Digi is one of my favorite reads, when it comes to digital scrapbooking, I think I have read every single post since it got launched on January 1st 2009. To be a part of what’s going on there is just HUGE! Thank you Steph for taking a chance on me
The Daily Digi sells The Digi Files to support the site. The Digi Files are a great way to get a lot of digital scrapbooking supplies for a little price – and you might also discover new designs and designers without having to buy kits at full price. In each Digi File there are around 5-7 kits and 1-2 packs of templates. It’s a great deal and this month there is a subscription option as well; making it a lot easier to remember to get the files before the month is over (there is a new set of Digi Files each month). You can subscribe monthly or annually – read more about it in this post, or check the different options for subscription at the subscribe page.
The scrapbook page ‘Signs of Fall’ (at the top of this post) is made with the first ever The Daily Digi Exclusive kit: ‘Story of Everyday Life’ – a kit jam packet with digital goodies, good for a variety of pages to scrap. I love the colors and the 365 themed templates included. The only way to get this is if you subscribe to The Digi Game. This is the first of several exclusive kits coming – each 4th month you are subscribing you’ll receive a new exclusive kit (depending on what kind of subscription you choose, though, so read more here).
Don’t forget that The Daily Digi posts new content each and every day – and it’s all free ![]()
October is off to a good start | Look for a few more post from me soon. ![]()

Just a little note to let you know I’m not dead. Thankfully. But the season has been good, busy and filled with joy + a little bit of sickness. So there you have it, the reason I’ve been away for a while…
As usual I’m up way past my bedtime, so I’ll make this short and sweet.
I just wanted to share a few news about a designer I CT for: Sweet Tomato Designs. Cara has decided to move her designs to one store only (where that is will be told on January 1st; follow her blog for updates). Because she is leaving her current three stores she’s having a huge sale right now. Click image below to jump to her store at Pretty Scrappy. (But hurry, her store(s) closes tomorrow.)
I made this LO with her last kit I Believe (I also used a template of hers):
Hope to be back soon!! I have so many things to share and show. I see that I have to fix the heading image as well – it’s winter around here and it’s snow, snow, snow and freezing cold. Right now 18 degrees Centigrade below zero. Brrr.. I’m bringing a wool blanket to bed tonight! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Cara of Sweet Tomato Designs have given me a place on her CT team. I’m so happy and can’t wait to start creating with her designs. As a CT for Pretty Scrappy (the store) I’ve already scrapped with two her kits, the Darjeeling Kit and Autumn Bliss

I love her deep, rich colors; the yellow in both of these kits are making me feel light and warm
This is what I have made before (click images for credits and journaling):
And this one I made yesterday (with an old photo I’ve been waiting to scrap forever):
I only wish I knew when this photo was captured, but the cell phone ¨photo file doesn’t tell me that. My guess is 2-3 or something years ago. I know for a fact that it’s taken when we lived in the western part of Norway, but that is all (at least for now).

We got our first snow of the season today. I was planning moving to our new house, but I’m not driving on snowy roads with my summer tires – so now I’m blogging instead
Better go and pack a few more boxes, this snow is bound to go away in a few hours and then we’ll see if we are in the mood for moving like planned – or if we rather stay here a little bit more (having fun surfing on our broad band, hehe). In that case we are going to the store because we are out of a few essentials…… Anyhow, see you around!!
Jess is out with another kit at her sunshine studio scraps store. I got to be among the first ones scrapping with it. So fun, and also a challenge since pink isn’t really my color – but there is lots of other colors too
If you pop over to the store you can see that she also has quick pages made, leafs to go with the flowers and even some printables. Lots of GOOD stuff!!
This kit is perfect for Valentines day and for scraps of your loved ones – and, as you can see, it even works for BOYS and firework!!!
Here is my first go:

Here is my second go, a bit simpler approach! The above took me more or less all weekend to finish – this one below took a couple of hours

This is a cross-post from lime scrapped
Saturday I got an email from Jess asking if I would join her “one kit ct-call” one more time, she was about to open her own store (the store is open now, check her out!) and needed some LO’s to go with her new kit Christmas Heart.
I love getting such emails – off course I would scrap for her! After downloading the kit I found that this was a beautiful kit filled to the brim with Christmas love, but without being the standard red, green and white. I’ve had so much fun scrapping with it this weekend and look forward to do more as I get around to it.
Here is the previews:

Isn’t it GORGEOUS?!!?!!
I have plenty of photos from the last three Christmas’ with MT so it was about time I scrapped another Christmas LO. So this is what I made:

journal: MT’s very first Christmas was celebrated at the farm. Grandma and Grandpa were so happy to have us living there for a month. This photo was taken when we helped Grandma dress the tree on December 23rd. I loved watching how much fun they had together sharing the joy of the season. Christmas is our family’s favorite time of the year!
I did another one as well, but that’ll be for another post, since I have an early morning tomorrow – and it’s already past midnight. Better get to bed soon!! Night

I’ve been inspired to document my every day life recently, by reading Ali Edwards blog {A} capture. create. I just found her a couple of weeks ago. I guess she is no news to a lot of people, well known as she is in US and in the scrap booking world. But she is news to me
Not that I’m going to start paper scrapping any time soon, digital suits me fine, but I will try to pick up some of her ideas. And i do plan on making my very own December book by printing out my layouts and collecting them (will need some ink supplies for that, but that is okay!). December is a busy time in this house and it’s so easy to forget to experience the joy of the season together, documenting this will give me more focus on the days; on the every day stuff that’s going on. I look forward to it, and will try to make it as simple and easy as possible and be sure to write down the journaling each night right here at my blog, even though I might not finish scrapping it completely until later….
Back to the present. Today I’m taking photos as I move on with my day, trying to take at least one photo every hour (who am I kidding, I can’t take just one photo when I start the camera; I mean that I’ll pick it up at least once each hour!
). I plan on showing them tomorrow, so far I’ve done good so you will at least see how I spent the first part of my day.
Hopefully I’ll manage also when MT is back home…. Early October I did something similar and scrapped about it for a challenge at Scrapmatters last week:
And what is my life like today?
Sunny, both cold and warm (cold outside and warm inside; but also cold in the shadows and warm in the sun). This time of year the sun shines less on our home because it doesn’t climb so high over the mountain and hills to the east and south, but still we have some. MT thinks that is kind of a good idea, it makes the snow stay at our place even though it’s gone other places…. I’m not so sure, I love to see the sun!
I’m also cleaning. I’m due back at work coming Monday and eager to get my house up and running in time for that. Yesterday I did a bit in the kitchen, today I’m working on the living room. And since I love changes, (yes I do!) I’m moving a bit of furniture around. Not sure if I’ll keep it or not, but we’ll see, I do have a problem getting my sofas fitting in this room, they are to big!
And then, off course, I’m also online and doing a bit of scrap booking. I usually read some blogs, catch up on the scrapping world and uploading photos to flickr (I’m behind; working on that!). Right now I’m preparing a couple of scrap pages for the Pretty Scrappy place. It’s my first time around doing ct-team work and they are having troubles with the internal part of their site, so I’m not sure when I can show you what I’ve done, though, but be sure to follow along on my scrapping blog LIME scrapped and you’ll see
This is my latest favorite. I love the new kit from Songbird Avenue; and just in time for winter at our place!
Better go fetch the mail and get some sunshine in my face!
Have a fantastic and blessed day!
I was planning to write a post yesterday evening about our first day of snow. But I never got to it, sadly. Later today Tomorrow I’m hoping to get i written, though. I have to. Before I forget most of it. That was one of those day when everything happened. Kind off…..
Anyway I have some photos for you from yesterday, our second day of snow. I walked MT to preschool, since my car had only 1 winter tire and I didn’t dare to drive it in the snow (I am to smart for that
).
It was a nice walk and when I got home my dad soon arrived to change the other 3 tires. How nice is he!!
Here is a few more photos:
Today I’m working on a layout for Jess and her new kit
Funny. I was up tonight to join in on the Speed Scrap at scrapmatters, that was so fun too, but I need my coffee today
