Bea is one of our good friends from back where we used to live 1.5 years ago, she is also one of MT’s godparents. We don’t see her as often as we wish, but this weekend we spend a few days together. And, off course, I had to take a few photos of her and MT together. The favorite got scrapped:

Journal: This weekend our good friend Bea came to stay with us. It was so nice to catch up, celebrate birthdays, drink coffee and just hang out together. I shot a few photos of Bea and MT, this one is my favorite. I love MT’s half smile and the way Bea looks at him. So much humor and love there!
As you can see, I’m testing my own block/boxy templates. Head over to my lime scrapped if you want a template freebie (available in a couple of days…).

I’ve had some fun trying out new techniques on my scrap page this weekend. I also found some old photos from November 2006. I love these where MT is outside catching soap bubbles.
The bubbles in the air is extracted from another photo, though, wish I had one where the bubbles had blue sky behind them originally…..
Anyhow; here it is:

I LOOOOOOOOVE the colors and that beautiful blended face!
journaling:
BLOWING BUBBLES As long as I’ve known him, MT has loved to blow bubbles. I love his smiles of joy and curiosity from this bright November day.
We got home late from the birthday yesterday, so today has been a day to recover and get ready for the everyday life starting tomorrow. It came some snow last night, so MT had fun playing in it and I got my exercise showing it out of our way. I also got some more wood in to the wood fire that we have got going all day; it’s so cold at our place – tonight closer to 20 degrees below zero than ever before this winter. Brrr. Almost wished I could stay at home tomorrow and keep the house warm, it gets cold so easily!
Anyhow, wanted to show you what I did scrapping today and then I’d better get to bed – tomorrow is an early morning(!)
Here is our Christmas Tree, a tiny bit crocked – but we like it!

I made this for this week CT-assignmetn at Pretty Scrappy answering to a challenge at Scrapmatters. The first scrap I’ve finished since Christmas (I started a few, but those got lost in the crash…). It’s good to be scrapping again.
I was inspired to find a word that could follow me throughout the year. I found a word that evokes a lot of feelings. Both good and bad. I think it’s the right word for this year. Time will show if I think that a year from now
Because of the computer crash I’m starting the new year rebuilding and downloading. Feeling a bit vulnerable since I lost a lot of stuff that was dear to me, but also fine since new beginnings are exciting and can give new directions and answers that the old me couldn’t see….. Maybe
journal: It might seem like a strange word. But for me it’s a word that suits me both in my personal life and when I think about how everything are connected and how my choices affects others far away; the environment etc. Now I’m curious; how will this word give meaning throughout the year?!

So, got to run, my Grandma is celebrating her birthday today
It’ll be fun to see her and all the other members of my extended family!! She’s a old goodie, turning 98 this time around. I love her! But now I’m late – as usual……. ehe.
We’ve had a lot of snow lately. Now we have winter wonderland and MT is sooooo happy!!
Lately I’ve been a CT (creative team member) for the Pretty Scrappy and for this months collab kit I got to make a BB QP (brag book quick page) and give away as a freebie
(here is more previews of the kit and another LO made by me!)
I did this with the QP:

Now it’s your turn. Download it by clicking the image. Please leave a comment when you do, this is my very first freebie and I’m excited and want to hear from you! Be kind ![]()
If you want more freebies from this kit check out the links at my scrapping blog!
Have a fun and blessed Advent!
Saturday I got an email from Jess asking if I would join her “one kit ct-call” one more time, she was about to open her own store (the store is open now, check her out!) and needed some LO’s to go with her new kit Christmas Heart.
I love getting such emails – off course I would scrap for her! After downloading the kit I found that this was a beautiful kit filled to the brim with Christmas love, but without being the standard red, green and white. I’ve had so much fun scrapping with it this weekend and look forward to do more as I get around to it.
Here is the previews:

Isn’t it GORGEOUS?!!?!!
I have plenty of photos from the last three Christmas’ with MT so it was about time I scrapped another Christmas LO. So this is what I made:

template by Jeni Hopewell; brush, funky stems, by Britt-ish design; all else from Christmas Heart by Jess Gordon.
journal: MT’s very first Christmas was celebrated at the farm. Grandma and Grandpa were so happy to have us living there for a month. This photo was taken when we helped Grandma dress the tree on December 23rd. I loved watching how much fun they had together sharing the joy of the season. Christmas is our family’s favorite time of the year!
I did another one as well, but that’ll be for another post, since I have an early morning tomorrow – and it’s already past midnight. Better get to bed soon!! Night

Songbird Avenue is out with a new kit, FROSTY KISSES. It is so gorgeous and perfect for all of the winter photos we are going to snap, not to mention for Christmas!! I just had to scrap a few of the photos from MT skiing on Saturday (I have a bunch, will upload tomorrow!). Those snow flakes will be used over and over again, and the papers are so diverse and beautiful – not to mention many! This kit is my favorite from Songbird Avenue since I started following their blog in June, way to go you guys!
The guest designers for this November kit are Little Dreamer Designs. 100% of this month’s profits will benefit the Toys for Tots.
Songbird Avenue is out with a new kit for October. The Peachy Keen kit.
This month’s guest designer is Pamela Gibson and this month’s proceeds goes to benefit the Animal Haven.
You can read more about it and the designer at Songbird Avenu’s home page.
This kit is super for all your girly desire, with it’s peachy feel and soft colors, but with a bit of blending (I’ve learned a lot of new stuff lately
) – it’s suitable for boys as well. I especially love the stronger and darker colors of this kit.
Joyful.
Here is my favorite LO using this kit:
I love this photo of MT, it was taken last Saturday (October 11th) when we were out walking around in the forest and fields by our house.
Some lime blogging news.
The other day I started a new blog at Blogger. I love this blog, having my own domain and using the fantastic WordPress. But I found it was time to give blogger another try. I’m so tired of not being able to comment on blogs (or at some blogs that is) because I’m not a member my self. So instead of going head on I decided to join forces with them
– and opened Lime scrapped. It is going to be the place where I post my scrap pages and tell you a bit about them. I’ll also post about other digi scrapbooking resourses that I find interesting. Some of the stuff you might find here as well, but most of it will be at my new blog from now on (that is at least the plan right now). When I get around to it I’ll make my own header and maybe dive down into the html kind of things, but still I’m using it as-is…..
So if you like to talk digi scrap, come on over!! I’d love some company
Another month and another gorgeous kit from Songbird Avenue. It’s almost like I want the months to change faster….
This month the fall is in focus and the colors are warm and earthy. They have timed up with Two Sisters Design and this month’s proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Good for all the fall photos we are going to snap
The colors are really starting to show here in the north.
So far I’ve only used it once for this scrap:
