We went to a fair on Saturday. It’s called Dyrsku’n (dyr = animal) from the beginning when farm animals (horses, cows etc.) where more important then carousels and cutlery.
The fair is local to us and one of the biggest fairs in Norway. We were one of ca. 30000 visitors that day – about 70000 visitor in total for the weekend – and that is in a village of ca. 2500 people. I can remember going to the fair every single year when I was kid; a great September tradition in our family.
MT went there for his first time last year. Now he was eager to get past the gate another time. There is a lot to see, a lot to buy and a lot of people. This time we even took time to watch the horse show.
MT was most interested in the amusement park part of the fair, though – and he went through his tickets like fire (he only had 6 and then his cousin got two so no wonder it went fast). But he got to do what he wanted to (at least almost, because he was too small (thankfully) for a few of the larger carousels and one cost more money than I was willing to pay).
Here he’s driving electric car and below he is in the Ferris Wheel, both with his cousin. He also got to walk through the fun house and jump on a trampoline (his all time favorite last year – this year I think it was the ferry wheel that topped the list).
I’m testing out the Twitter Tool plugin at the moment. Not sure if I like it to post a blog-post each day just yet. I’m also a bit frustrated since it isn’t in sync with my time, meaning that some of todays tweets won’t show up until the Saturday digest. If there only was a control for setting what time is my time and a way to decide when I want the digest to post (like right after midnight or something). If I take a closer look I might find those settings, though, but please let me know if any of you know how
Another thing. I joined in on the Speed Scrap at Scrapmatters this evening. I’ve looked forward to it all week, finally a time that suits me
But I almost had to give it up because we were late home and MT was a slow mover tonight. He even lost his pc-hour for the weekend before he got tucked into bed. (we have this rule that he have to eat when there is time for eating, if not he goes hungry to bed. tonight he was so eager to spend some time playing on the computer that he said he wasn’t hungry. off course he was. so right before bed he asked politely if he could get something to eat. he was hungry for sure, so it wasn’t fair to send him to bed without any food – last time I did that he woke up in the middle of the night wanting something to eat – so I asked what he was willing to give up. and he told me that he should have no computer time for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. so there. it will be a good weekend
)
Anyhow, in the end I got to play, but boy did the evening go fast!
Now I’ll better tuck myself in, it’s half past midnight already!
And tomorrow is the first day of Dyrsku’n

Note! I’ve changed a few things after the two hours was up, just because I wanted to make it a bit better.
If you want to see the orginal result head over here.
