It’s another sunny day here at my place. IT FEELS SO GOOD!!

sunny skies

After 4 moths without sunshine (on our house, I might add) – I simply can’t get enough of those beautiful and warming sun rays.

Today I plan to do a lot of this and that. Getting my house in a cleaner shape and get a good start on a few things I’ve been putting off for too long. I have the whole day by my self since MT is going to a birthday party after school and will be gone all day. He’s going to have SO MUCH FUN (they are going to a swimming pool and he just loves that! Poor teachers, they are going to have a hard time getting the class to focus ;) ). And I plan to have some FUN here all by my self. Drink a lot of coffee, play music and catch up on a few games on Facebook. And, off course, do some house chores as well (can’t forget about the initial plan, now can I?!) And if I get around to it I will see if I can get the comment-issue fixed here on my blog (and do a little upgrade too). Not to mention that my laptop is driving me crazy and is in need of some attention too. Ok, I’ll do one thing at a time and then we’ll see how far down my list I can get :o Nice to have some time to relax and regroup as well.

Enjoy your Monday!!

Tonight we had dinner guests. It was so nice, we don’t do that too often!!

It was quite an international party; us and one of the girls from Norway, one from Wales, one from Finland and one from California, US. Most of the conversation went on English – I feel so insecure there and so not used to talking it (writing is another thing all together!) – but we managed helping each other find the words.

The girls visiting are all students at one of the Youth With A Mission’s schools in Norway. It was nice to get to know them a bit better (one of them I know quite well already) and to be able to cook a dinner for them as well. We had trout with potatoes, broccoli and sour cream. Delicious!!

The rest of the day was pretty basic and, sadly, not too good. I really feel so vulnerable these days, it only take a few wrong words towards me and I’m right in the cellar (emotionally) before you know it. I don’t like feeling like this and wish my life wasn’t so much a roller coaster right now. Anyhow, I need my sleep to function – so better get some!

Night :D

MT is home sick today. Hope he feels better soon, we are planning to go to the farm tomorrow. I reckon he wants to go no matter how he feels, though ;) And he’s not that sick, just a common cold, but he has slowed down, his nose is running and he’s sneezing and coughing, so he’s better off home today. Now he gets some rest so he’ll be ready for new adventures tomorrow.

Now we both have stayed to long on the computers. So I’m shutting off the machines for a while (I guess I will pop in now and then, can’t help my self. No wonder MT thinks computers are fun, I think so too. We are some geeks :o ). Mainly we need to focus on the house, some food, the mail and maybe take a trip to the store if we can get bothered by that. :P

Btw, it’s snowing today. So more winter for us, no wonder I’ve started thinking about Christmas lately :)

Have a nice Friday, everyone!!!

I’ve been inspired to document my every day life recently, by reading Ali Edwards blog {A} capture. create. I just found her a couple of weeks ago. I guess she is no news to a lot of people, well known as she is in US and in the scrap booking world. But she is news to me ;) Not that I’m going to start paper scrapping any time soon, digital suits me fine, but I will try to pick up some of her ideas. And i do plan on making my very own December book by printing out my layouts and collecting them (will need some ink supplies for that, but that is okay!). December is a busy time in this house and it’s so easy to forget to experience the joy of the season together, documenting this will give me more focus on the days; on the every day stuff that’s going on. I look forward to it, and will try to make it as simple and easy as possible and be sure to write down the journaling each night right here at my blog, even though I might not finish scrapping it completely until later….

Back to the present. Today I’m taking photos as I move on with my day, trying to take at least one photo every hour (who am I kidding, I can’t take just one photo when I start the camera; I mean that I’ll pick it up at least once each hour! :D ). I plan on showing them tomorrow, so far I’ve done good so you will at least see how I spent the first part of my day. :D Hopefully I’ll manage also when MT is back home…. Early October I did something similar and scrapped about it for a challenge at Scrapmatters last week:

everyday magic

And what is my life like today?

Sunny, both cold and warm (cold outside and warm inside; but also cold in the shadows and warm in the sun). This time of year the sun shines less on our home because it doesn’t climb so high over the mountain and hills to the east and south, but still we have some. MT thinks that is kind of a good idea, it makes the snow stay at our place even though it’s gone other places…. I’m not so sure, I love to see the sun!

I’m also cleaning. I’m due back at work coming Monday and eager to get my house up and running in time for that. Yesterday I did a bit in the kitchen, today I’m working on the living room. And since I love changes, (yes I do!) I’m moving a bit of furniture around. Not sure if I’ll keep it or not, but we’ll see, I do have a problem getting my sofas fitting in this room, they are to big!

And then, off course, I’m also online and doing a bit of scrap booking. I usually read some blogs, catch up on the scrapping world and uploading photos to flickr (I’m behind; working on that!). Right now I’m preparing a couple of scrap pages for the Pretty Scrappy place. It’s my first time around doing ct-team work and they are having troubles with the internal part of their site, so I’m not sure when I can show you what I’ve done, though, but be sure to follow along on my scrapping blog LIME scrapped and you’ll see ;)

This is my latest favorite. I love the new kit from Songbird Avenue; and just in time for winter at our place!

Better go fetch the mail and get some sunshine in my face!

Have a fantastic and blessed day!
