Wishing you all the best and lots of blessings for 2010 :D

fireworks

We are soon ready to go outside to welcome the New Year with some fireworks. Hoping to catch a few photos as well  (these above is a couple of years old already…), even though it’s chilly 15 below zero here right now (Celsius). Brrr..

Jess is out with another kit at her sunshine studio scraps store. I got to be among the first ones scrapping with it. So fun, and also a challenge since pink isn’t really my color – but there is lots of other colors too ;)

If you pop over to the store you can see that she also has quick pages made, leafs to go with the flowers and even some printables. Lots of GOOD stuff!!

This kit is perfect for Valentines day and for scraps of your loved ones – and, as you can see, it even works for BOYS and firework!!!

Here is my first go:

Here is my second go, a bit simpler approach! The above took me more or less all weekend to finish – this one below took a couple of hours ;)

The celebrating of the New Year!!

boy in smoke and stars..

I absolutely LOVE this photo of my nephew twirling his star sparkle (or what to call it) while the smoke from his fathers firework is making everything kind of purple. We celebrated New Years Eve with my brother and his family. We had a really good time with them and I LOVE this tradition of spending the Eve together. :D Thanks for having us!!

my word for 2009

I made this for this week CT-assignmetn at Pretty Scrappy answering to a challenge at Scrapmatters. The first scrap I’ve finished since Christmas (I started a few, but those got lost in the crash…). It’s good to be scrapping again.

I was inspired to find a word that could follow me throughout the year. I found a word that evokes a lot of feelings. Both good and bad. I think it’s the right word for this year. Time will show if I think that a year from now ;) Because of the  computer crash I’m starting the new year rebuilding and downloading. Feeling a bit vulnerable since I lost a lot of stuff that was dear to me, but also fine since new beginnings are exciting and can give new directions and answers that the old me couldn’t see….. Maybe ;)

journal: It might seem like a strange word. But for me it’s a word that suits me both in my personal life and when I think about how everything are connected and how my choices affects others far away; the environment etc. Now I’m curious; how will this word give meaning throughout the year?!

angel lightWe spent New Years eve with my brother, SIL, nephew and niece and had a great time together with them. What a nice way to spend the last hours of 2008 and the first hours of 2009!! :D Love you guys!

I have some photos to show you from Christmas and New Years but it have to wait until I can get them off my camera. I want to wish anyone who reads this all that is good and a BLESSED NEW YEAR!!! Take care.

My new laptop is acting up and I’m here writing on my old – and on a mission to figure out how I can get the new one to boot correctly so I can get into my files again. I miss them :( I’m terribly scared, thought, that I have to delete it all to make it work, so far all attempts to boot in safe mode or reinstalling the windows files have gotten unexpected errors and haven’t helped a bit. Any ideas you can throw me is highly appreciated. It’s a dell of the xps kind.

Off to search for some answers.
I think I need some more coffee!!
