1. Monday September 21th was the first day with morning frost in my area. It was beautiful and cold! And a reminder to go looking for those thicker jackets; in the mornings we really need them. (Just a few minutes after I took this photo the sun was covered in clouds again; so glad I managed to get the gorgeous light of the early morning.)

2. I love going to IKEA, but why on earth do they have to make their packages so heavy??! Some of us are not bodybuilders… (yea, I know, it’s a shock!) I had so much trouble getting them on to the trolley all by my self. I guess I looked kind of funny struggling with package after package of the Billy shelves kind. When we got to the car I had to unwrap each package (almost) and put the items in one by one to fit it all in the car. It took forever, and MT nicely pointed out: “Mummy, your face is red! Hihi..”. Very kind of you, kiddo! (He was right, though.).

3. I placed my first 4 boxes in our new house last Friday (September 18th). They were filled with books from my office. Can’t wait to go there and put the shelves together and start putting the books into them. My goal is to get the home office up and running as soon as possible. 4. MT took the bus home on Monday and Wednesday, all by himself. I’m so proud of him! Monday morning he was so close not to do it, since I wasn’t going to be there putting him on the right bus and all (some of the point of him taking the bus is for me not to drive the car up there in the first place.. ahem.). Imagen how happy he was running towards me from the bus stop by our house. He did it. (with a bit of help from his teacher and the bus driver, but still). He’s going to take the bus this few last days at this place, when we move to the new place we are living even closer to the school than here…

5. I get a little scared when I think that my brother is coming here with his truck to help me move (most of) the furniture to our new home in just a couple of days . Eeek. I’m packing books and glaswear, hoping to get the most important stuff to our new home now (we can always get the other stuff later…).It’s making me a bit stressed out to be honest, but I can’t wait to start putting it all together in our new home!!

6. I started making this list on Monday, now it’s Thursday and I hope to finish it up and get it published today. I feel my brain is on overload with all this moving business Making me start a lot of things, and then forgetting to finish them… Have to learn how to follow through!

7. I really, really would like to take the new class with Cathy Zielske at BigPictureScarpbook.com (the link goes to the description for the class as it was last time she held it, new announcement isn’t up yet) come January (it’ll last three months; January-March). I’m starting to save now; and if anyone was wondering what to give me for Christmas – this is it Hihi.

The class is called Design your Life and she promises to help make the designing part of scrapbooking go fast and easy. Yay. And I totally like her style and is currently enjoying my last week of the “ME; the abridged version”- class – and going for real paper (less digi, more cardstock and glue) for the first time ever. When I get around to it I know I will get it finished, it’s so much fun to do!!

BIL
Eg kunne skrive ei bok om mitt trøblete forhald til bil. Det verste er at eg er skikkeleg glad i å køyre og likar godt store bilar – men eg kan ikkje fordra det når dei ikkje verkar……..

I september i fjor (2008) gav eg opp og sette den grønne bilen, som har følgt meg i så mange år, til side og kjøpte meg ein ny(are) raud ein. Den fungerte fint for det meste, god å køyre på vinterføre – sjølv om den ikkje lika det når det vart for kald, men kven gjer nå det da?! Men 3. august 2009 var det slutt. Bilen fekk totalt motorhavari på vegen mellom S og B. Jammen er eg glad for å vere NAF-medlem, men i neste omgang kjem eg til å invistere i superforsikring. Så nå køyrer eg den grønne bilen igjen. Go figure!

BLOG
Eg starta å blogge i 2004. Fem år seinare kan eg ikkje tenke meg noko anna enn å ha blogging som ein deil av livet, sjølv om det er veldig opp og ned kor mykje eg får oppdatert den… For tida lurar eg på kva eg skal gjere vidare, har lyst til å samle bloggane mine (den scrapperelaterte og den for alt anna) og kanskje også byrje ein ny med søndagstankar og meir Jesusstoff, noko på norsk – det meste på engelsk som før. Eg skriv på engelsk fordi det gjev kontakt ut over heile verda, og det er kjempegøy!!

KYRKJA
Er både arbeidsplassen og heimen min. Eg kan ikkje tenke meg å ikkje høyre til der sjølv om det stormar i teologi og meiningar. For meg er det mest sentrale at kyrkja er open og fellesskapskapande og at haldningar og forkynninga er Jesussentrert. Det er også viktig for meg at barn og unge kan finne plassen sin der, dette er ein stadig ufordring – og ein vanskeleg balansegang(!)

KREATIV
Eg hadde heilt gløymt kor mykje eg får igjen for å vere kreativ i kvardagen. Å starte med scrapbooking vekte dette i meg på ein heilt annan måte enn all verdas inspirerande magasiner kunne. Målet er å skrappe dagleg, mange gongar klarar eg ikkje det – men eg nyter det som blir laga, både under skapingsprosessen og etterpå når eg kan setje den nye sida inn i eit av abuma mine. I dag kom MT strålande heim og fortalte om at han hadde tova eit hjarte på skulen, det var ikkje vanskeleg å sjå kor moro han hadde syns det var. Og så morro å høyre på han fortelje med ord og hender korleis han hadde gjort det. Eg sa at eg gjerne ville sjå det – han smilte lurt og sa det var ein hemmelegheit: eg skulle få det fordi han var glad i meg. Snakk om å gjere mamma både stolt og glad. Kreativitet er livsnødvendig!

KAFFI
Eg starta å drikke kaffi da eg var 17 år gamal og på leir med skulelaget. Sidan har eg drukke minst eit par koppar kvar dag. Det blir mist 15000 koppar til nå. Wow. Eg likar best den enkle svarte kaffien, å gå på kaffibar er kult – men eg lagar like god kaffi heime, syns nå eg da Av prinsipp kjøper eg rettferdig kaffi; om eg skal kunne nyte koppen i langdrag vil eg ikkje ha ein bismak i korleis dei som produserar og plukkar kaffibønnene har det!! Eg prøvar så godt eg kan å få alle til å tenke slik.

Å adoptere MT frå kaffiens heimland gav meg eit møte med ein ny og spanadne kaffikultur.

Still need a bit more editing + I have to finish writing for all the letters of the (Norwegian) alphabet!!

9. I have enjoyed some great blog post at the new site Incourage, their word for this month is Hope and the writers are putting some amazing, heartfelt and good stuff out there; gives my mind and faith something to chew on.

10. I’m so glad it’s sunshine today. It makes the day so much lighter and it makes my living room warmer
