a day of rest

Bush 1

I had big plans for this day:

  • shoving snow
  • clearing and boxing the Christmas decoration (yes, I know, been a while since I started doing this – got to get it finished already)
  • making a 2009 calendar for a few family members πŸ˜‰ (ahem, a really late Christmas gift…)
  • clean and clear!!
  • do some laundry
  • run the dishwasher. Hey! I did that; the machine is running right now. Yay.
  • make a fabulous and easy dinner (not going to happen πŸ˜€ )
  • be ready to ski with my boy for ski carousel (I’m going to go there with him at least – he’ll be the one skiing, though!)

But I got so slow – almost like I-can’t-move-out-of-the-couch kind of feeling. So I stayed on it with the computer in front of me. Reading, smiling, downloading and getting inspired to scrap. Sadly the sun is soon leaving my backyard, and it would be nice to be outside feeling the sun on my face – but I just needed this hours of rest to come to grip with myself.

I’m still hoping to do some of the things on my list; but surely not all!!

Enjoy life – take time to rest and regroup πŸ˜€

scrapbooking

bubbles

I’ve had some fun trying out new techniques on my scrap page this weekend. I also found some old photos from November 2006. I love these where MT is outside catching soap bubbles. πŸ™‚ The bubbles in the air is extracted from another photo, though, wish I had one where the bubbles had blue sky behind them originally…..

Anyhow; here it is:

I LOOOOOOOOVE the colors and that beautiful blended face!

journaling:
BLOWING BUBBLESΒ  As long as I’ve known him, MT has loved to blow bubbles. I love his smiles of joy and curiosity from this bright November day.

scrapbooking

So Flirty ;)

Jess is out with another kit at her sunshine studio scraps store. I got to be among the first ones scrapping with it. So fun, and also a challenge since pink isn’t really my color – but there is lots of other colors too πŸ˜‰

If you pop over to the store you can see that she also has quick pages made, leafs to go with the flowers and even some printables. Lots of GOOD stuff!!

This kit is perfect for Valentines day and for scraps of your loved ones – and, as you can see, it even works for BOYS and firework!!!

Here is my first go:

Here is my second go, a bit simpler approach! The above took me more or less all weekend to finish – this one below took a couple of hours πŸ˜‰
