MT skiing contest

MT and friend skiing contest b/w MT got invited to his friend for a little costume skiing contest this afternoon, just for him and a few friends. MT was super happy to be invited and with a little bit of help he got his ninja costume on top of his thick winter clothes – the suit is not easy to see from these photos, since the decoration is on the front, but anyhow ;)

He had lots of fun skiing and playing with friends, he got served hot dogs and later they got chocolate cake. How nice to be invited to such a thing.

I went back home to try to relax a bit. This day started with a huge headache that lasted most of the day and a hour or so before I drove MT to his friend I throw up the little food I had eaten. Not a fun day. I’m so tired of this kind of headache, but as usual it got better in the evening and I got to eat some and keep it down too. Nice. One of the other mothers brought MT back home. Another nice. We spent some time talking and watching cartoons, I made us some hot chocolate before it was time for bed.

Now I’ll better go to bed my self. I have a big day tomorrow with lots of tasks and it feels a little intimidating after a week on sick leave….

Wishing you a blessed week!

bible puzzle book

I said yes to take a extra service in our neighboring church (even though it was on  one  of my Sundays off work) – one of my colleague was sick and I knew that I had planned this service before and that I could use the same approach here.So it wasn’t too hard to plan and do; nice with a little extra pay as well.

So we went to the church this very cold morning, MT should sit by himself so no babysitter for him that day. It was a really stunning and beautiful day, sunshine and blue sky. The team for the service was The Bible; Word of God so I brought quite a few bibles from home and showcased them on a table for all to see (I told the people to come forward after the service to look and feel all the different editions of the bible; I even had Greek new testament and Hebrew old testament – but the puzzle bible got most attention. I can see why it’s one of MT’s favorites as well. :D

After church we went home and ate dinner and then we went out skiing. My first try this season and I’m not very good at this. My plan was to make a slope for MT (and his friends) on the field outside our house for them to go skiing in. But it was so much snow there and for every move I sank down to right under the knee, making it hard to move forward. Instead of a round slope we just made one slope across the field and walked back the same way. Later I might try again…… if I ever can get this ski-going working….. ehe.

This was also our Mother’s Day (in Norway we celebrate it on the second Sunday of February; guess it’s because we already have too many days to celebrate in May – with our national day on May 17th…) – anyway I told MT about it to see what he thought. He didn’t find the day necessary, and objected to the idea of mom having more than one (kind off) birthday. But non the less he sang to me – happy birthday ;) (but off course…)

We are celebrating Mother’s Day in Norway this second Sunday of February.

mama Mom :)

I’ve been following Janet at The Daily Digi since she started the site on Jan 1st – and I always love to read what she writes – usually it’s scrap booking stuff. But today she made a post about the Invisible Mom. I highly recommend a visit to her not matter if you like scrap booking or not; no matter if you are a mom or mom to be, a grand mother or a young mother; this is a story to be happy about, maybe a little proud as well ;)

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!

———————————————————————————————————

Now we are going out. It’s fantastic weather outside and we have both been to church (I worked as the pastor, MT was  a good kid and sat by himself) and eaten dinner. I promised MT to go skiing, it will be the first time for this season. Look forward to it and hopefully I can manage them (the slipperly long things under my feets) – I don’t do this so ofen (as I should) and have no balance what so ever, or that’s what it feels like! ;) I don’t think I dare to bring the camera, so you wont see photos of me falling…. LOL. Have a nice day!!
