Saturday I snapped a few photos during a half an hour (or so) break outside. I tried to capture the feeling of the every day life’s blessings. I tried to capture the happiness of the small things. I loved how it felt playful at the same time as meaningful. I’ve been working on and off with these photos (and words about them) ever since. And now I’m ready to share them with you. (If you want to read a little bit about each of the photos you can head over to my Flickr steam or the Simple Things photo set, I also made a layout with the above photo and you can find it at Flickr as well: This Photo | The Story).
I really have so much to be grateful for in my life. I only have to remember to look for it + dare to play a little to catch it. It helps to slow down the pace a little as well.
Good luck hunting for happiness. I don’t thing we’ll ever have too much of that stuff, so be on the look out every day. I sure will.

It’s my 3rd go @ the simple things, I love the idea of this.
I hope I can keep it a regular thing on Mondays.
I have two new digital scrapbooking pages to share. I made them with Raspberry Limeade a new kit by Sweet Tomato Designs. It’s brand new today and you can read more about it on her blog – or jump right over to Funky Playground Designs where she has one of her stores.

I always love the moment when the spring really takes over for the winter. When the snow is melted away and new sprouts are coming from the trees. That’s the time when I bring my cup of coffee with me outside. Licking some sun after the long and cold winter. And this spring, the spring of 2011, have been amazingly warm and sunny, so much that the birch already are green and beautiful a week before May even starts. I will enjoy this and keep spending some of my hours outside. The rain will come again , the chilly weather will be back. But right now the sun is here, the spring is in the making and everything thing wakes up to new life again. Even I can feel it.
Right now our spring is rather cold and cloudy. We could use some rain – to be honest, but I would like for it to come now and not at the weekend. Please?! After that I’m ready for warm spring weather again.
I tend to spend a lot of my days indoors, due to a couple of things (mostly): First my working hours tend to be in my office or somewhere else inhouse. Secondly when I get back home, there are plenty of tasks to take care of, like laundry and dishes that needs washing, dinner in the making. But when spring finally comes around I run outside to soaking it all in.

Look for the Capture Your 365 blog hop tomorrow.
Last Saturday (April 16th) my kid and I + my brother and his family visited The Farm.
My mom cooked us dinner (lovely fish dinner) and we spent the most of the afternoon outside in the beautiful spring weather. MT and his two cousins had fun (most of the time) running around, playing ball and discover nature. They also helped me cut a few branches for our Easter service on Palm Sunday.
My brother helped me with some light issues on my car and my SIL helped me make a wreath of thorns for our Easter service on Palm Sunday. In the evening there were coffee and cakes.
It was a really nice and relaxing day and I’m so glad we got to spend some hours together.

(all photos link to my Flickr account where each photo has a little bit of description to it if you want to read.)
Thank you for looking! Have a great Monday
We’re going swimming at a pool and MT is over the top excited (it’s part of his birthday gift from me). Glad to spend some more time with him before work and school starts up again tomorrow.
…but I let my kid put his bare feet into the cold river water on Monday. It was just too warm a day to tell him no, even though we are in April still (bathing season here starts by the end of June, usually).
Over a day later there is still no cough to hear, so I think it went nicely. Ahem, just so you know, mom.
Life is crazy busy right now, here are a few highlights.

My favorite photo of MT at the moment! Taken by our little creek.

Can you believe it?! Winter is melting away
Spring has finally decided to come to our block of land.
I’m so happy and love taking photos of all the new life surrounding us. Especially the flowers popping up! Hehe, can you see it was MT picking these two beauties?! He’s picking only the head, nearly no stem
I think hepatica (or what do you call this?!) is one of my favorite flowers – along with it’s white colored cousin (I found some of those today, photos coming…).
We got snow today. I thought the spring was here. I guess it is in the coming, though. We’ve had a lot of melting lately and our drive way is icy and slippery (now covered with a layer of snow = dangerous). So I walk carefully.
This so you know I’m alive. Now I must sleep, tomorrow starts with an early morning and those are not my favorites… I have big hopes that the day will be good, even with an early morning. Nice
